The hotel is very well located. It's right on the beach, but also very close to the resort's points of interest. Its location gets a 10 out of 10. You can step out onto the beach from the hotel, and the resort center is just a 2-minute walk away.||||The beach is extremely clean and beautiful, well-maintained as always.||||We had a room with a sea view, situated at the corner of the hotel, so we had a view in two directions towards the sea - a superb view at any time of the day. The room was clean, adequately furnished, with a flat-screen TV, and a spacious room and balcony. Decent refrigerator. Unfortunately, the air conditioning didn't work during our stay. It would stop after 25 seconds of starting and only worked in fan mode, not blowing cold air. We notified the hotel staff, and after 2 days, a team came to dismantle the ceiling-mounted air conditioning unit and work on it. After about an hour of their efforts, they finished, but the air conditioning still functioned the same, unfortunately. After another 2 days (this was on day 4 out of our 8-day stay), unannounced maintenance personnel came again and started working on the air conditioning. They entered the room without knocking at 8 in the morning. After an hour of 'work,' dismantling and reassembling, they left, but the air conditioning was STILL the same. Personally, it wasn't a big issue for me, but I expected a hotel of this caliber to have a functional air conditioning system, or at least for the maintenance team to have been able to fix it.||||The animation team was okay, not really impressive. I personally wasn't interested as I came with my girlfriend. Those who came with children seemed to enjoy the animation program, but I can't really comment on that aspect. The activities seemed similar every day except for one themed evening. There was a 'Bulgarian' themed evening where they served honey and various pastries along with brandy. They also had a mascot that tried to entertain the guests, which I found quite charming. The evening continued with Bulgarian dances performed by the animation team, which were interesting to watch.||||Moving on to the food, it seemed okay to me, but not worthy of being called "premium" all-inclusive. Breakfast had everything you needed – boiled and fried eggs, bacon, milk, coffee, cereal, salads, pastries, desserts, etc. Breakfast was the same every day, but there were plenty of options to combine so you wouldn't get bored. Lunch and dinner mostly had the same types of food with some variations – different soups, chicken, pork, and turkey prepared in various ways, sausages, grilled meat, pasta, natural and fried potatoes, etc. Like breakfast, you could mix and match these items in different ways to keep it interesting. Most of the desserts were mediocre, but they did serve a variety of ice cream flavors during lunch and dinner, which was a plus.||||Despite the variety in the lunch and dinner menu, sometimes certain types of meat weren't great. I encountered a few pieces that didn't taste quite right, but overall, I can't say I'm dissatisfied with the food.||||And now, in my opinion, the biggest downside of this hotel: THE DRINKS. The drinks, all of them, were below par. They felt heavily diluted with water. On top of that, bartenders were instructed to put up to 50ml of the alcoholic component in any cocktail – essentially a shot – and then fill the rest with juice or water depending on the cocktail. For example, a Cuba Libre would be 150ml of heavily diluted cola plus 50ml of rum (if the bartender is generous). This was the case with every single cocktail. They wouldn't give you a glass of straight whiskey or vodka if you asked, they serve "cocktails only" – this seemed to be the hotel's policy, unfortunately. The beer tasted like mineral water with a hint of beer scent (but not taste). The juices were like water with a splash of concentrated juice, and the cola was reminiscent of diluted cola with water.||||At the lobby bar, there was a woman who spoke Romanian, which was a nice touch. The snack bar between meals was basic: pastries, fruits, and maybe some food for lunch snack, while in the evening, it was quite limited – they had sandwiches in the fridge and not much else.||||Table service was okay, we always got a table, and the waitstaff were attentive, which was a plus. The terrace was quite spacious with various types of seating, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The pool was good but a bit small, with a depth of 1.40m. There were plenty of sun loungers by the pool with umbrellas, right at the exit towards the beach, and they had showers too.||||The parking area was relatively small for the number of guests. It cost 20 leva per day, and cars were parked one behind the other. When the car behind yours left, you had to hand over your keys to the reception for them to move your car. This happened 3 times during my stay – the parking area was full.||||As for the hotel recommendation, I recommend it. It's a good and convenient location, with a beautiful view of the sea, clean rooms – the cleaning lady came every day, and the food overall is okay, but the drinks are lacking. Upon checkout, we had an incident where they said towels were missing from the room, but when we brought those towels to the front desk and placed them in front of them, they apologized.||||It's worth mentioning that last year we were in the same period at the Longoza Hotel, which had a lower price with less food variety but much better drinks. You could actually feel the difference between juice and a cocktail. Because of this, I don't believe this hotel falls under the category of "premium" all-inclusive. I would have preferred less food variety but...
Read moreWe had an amazing stay at this hotel!! I don't know where to start my review, everything was perfect.
The staff were extraordinary friendly, the man and the woman at the reception below the fact that they were extremely friendly and polite (they came outside the hotel to greet us when we came for the first time, said that we can keep the bracelet even after the checkout to enjoy the hotel's facilities until our departure and showed us the luggage room in order for us to go for a walk), they spoke very good english and was easy to communicate and ask anything that we needed. also the cleaning ladies for the rooms and for the restaurant, they did an amazing job and were also very smiley and friendly :) the lady at the bar was also extremely warm and friendly, felt like a mother to us, was very caring and welcoming every time she saw us
the food was amazing, very varied and delicious for all the meals. Also the snack bar was amazing, above expectations for a snack bar. They also served below the classic alcohol beverages, 6-7 different kind of cocktails which were amazing served by the lady in the lobby bar. The coffee (cappuccino) was unexpectedly good
the rooms look better in reality than they do in photos (they even upgraded our standard room to an apartment for no other tax and just because they had the availability, we found out only when we saw our room). they have an amazing view to the beach and were extremely clean. The cleaning lady came everyday to clean. The reason for which I gave 4/5 for the room is the fact that some minor appliances had some issues : the lamp beside the bed didn't work, the shower only worked with a little trick from our side and the hair dryer could be stopped only by unplugging it, it was not an issue for us but I wanted to mention them.
it was very quiet, the only possible issue is when they have the specific hours for entertainment for guests, but that was only one day at 5PM and the rest between 8 and 9/10 PM so it's not an issue. Besides that, it is absolutely quiet, you can hear only the sea. Even tho it's very central and close to many central attractions, it is surprisingly quiet. They were even some guests who stayed on the hotel's terrace and were talking a bit loud (not too loud tho) and someone from the reception came to ask them politely to speak a little bit quieter.
the swimming pool is kind of small but the hotel is veeeery close to the beach so it was not an issue for us. Also, because the pool's sunbeds were so close to the sea, we didn't even need to rent others on the beach (10 leva per day)
I wanted to make this review as detailed as possible to cover every aspect that i noticed, good and bad because i was in the reader's position too and I was kind of confused of all the good and bad reviews. So my conclusion : It was an excellent deal, it deserved every bit of money that we paid. We like to explore as many places as possible, but if it were to go again to a hotel again in sunny beach, sure it would be Viand Hotel. Much love to everyone working there!!! you do an amazing job and thank you for the beautiful vacation you...
Read moreWe were and we are still disappointed with this hotel.||My friends recommended this hotel to us, because they were there in the middle of July last year. I don't know what happened, but the pictures that my friends showed me of the food was totally different from what we experienced this June. |Last year, there were more opportunities for entertainment (E.g: Possibility of dancing in the evenings). The hotel was boring. ||There was very little variety of food and they run out of food very quickly despite beeing UAL service. The quality of the drinks was extremely poor , the soft drinks and the alcoholic drinks too.||The first problem was in the check-in, because we had to wait at least half an hour, and they couldn't find our rooms, because we booked two rooms on two different websites, one for us and one for my parents under the same name. They couldn't handle this problem, for three days. In our room some kind of water was dropping from the ceiling onto our bed. I informed the receptionist about this problem and nothing happened. I would have expected to get beach towels beeing an UAL hotel. But we didn't get any. ||The barmen were kind, but they unfortunatelly didn't speak English (except the young guy). The hotel was very clean, but I can't mentioned any more positive things. ||I don't know what could be the reason for big difference between the two years of service. |I recommended that if there really is such a big difference between the pre-season and the main season (I don't know how much the end of June counts as preseason,) they indicate in our their website or other information platforms. ||Overall, this hotel did not meet our...
