Kings View — Hotel in Veliko Tarnovo

Excellent place to stay, away from the city center. If you are lucky, you will have a view to die for and totally worth it!

My first impression when arriving were : why did I chose this place so faraway, in this neighborhood. And the building itself does not speak for what's inside...

I booked the place for 2 reasons : the bright big rooms and the views.

It was exactly how I hoped it would be... and more due to wonderful staff and service!

Never judge a book by its cover. Book this place and you will not regret it!

Also having the Biancos restaurant being able to deliver excellent food to your room and with a discount is a plus. I really appreciated this extra advantage.

The hotel is a hotel/guest house, so it is great! In the morning, you can relax and have breakfast in the common outside terrace (or in the common living room) near the big common kitchen.. That's really great. It came as a surprise. I didn't know they had that before I got there.

Decoration and everything is light, sober, elegant, simple and comfortable.

Great beddings. (I wish there were some bedside lamps.)

It is a 15-min walk to the Fortress. There are buses to take you to town and come back.

The only negative point : poor soundproofing... The walls, doors and ceilings are thin so you hear a lot, if your neighbors are not quiet and you might potentially disturb people too. (Out of 3 nights 1 was a bit noisy and 2 were quiet.)

However, the hotel is so great that for a few days, you can put up with that point.

I don't recommend unless you're a flexibile and patient visitor.

This is not a hotel, but a guest house. That is written on the front of the building. All in all, the location is decent, but not quite comfortable. It is far from Veliko's centre and in a non touristic area. You'll get my point.

They have their own parking lot which is very nice. The building looks good and in proper shape. The internet wifi is fast, unlike most places.

My room was dusty and the toilet a bit dirty. Overall, the room was not quite clean. Also, an important topic for me, the bed was very soft and not at all comfortable.

The reservation was made through booking. It said we have view, we didn't. It said we have a terrace, we only had a balcony. It said we had sleepers, we didn't. There's no fridge in the room (they don't say they do).

The rooms are fine, are having a AC and our had a nice view. It is near the citadel but in the period we stayed the main bridge (July 2023) was close for repairs so everytime we needed to go by car outside of the town to reach the town center. The parking is on the street, in front of the building but is fully monitored by the one from the check-in. With the bridge opened, the location good for going to the...
