stayed in the Suite with sea view with 2 other friends at Sabbay Kep over the long weekend. suite is of good size and plenty space for the extra mattress on the floor. It has a small decked veranda facing the ocean across the road and another one facing the garden. unfortunately these outdoor spaces really can use some maintenance. there's no overhead cover to shield outdoor furnitures from the rain so some of them are damaged. Considering how often Kaep experiences storm and rain outdoor cover would be a welcome addition and make the stay more pleasant. ||||Rooms need to be checked for maintenance, signs of wear and tear are visible. we've got a big mouldy patch on the wall next to the entrance that could use some tender loving care. Bathroom is also of good size and clean and we loved the sun roof. ||||Overall the suite is comfy but need some minor maintenance. house keeping didn't replenish tea and coffee and the toiletries but staff are happy to supply them upon requested. ||||the tropical setup works very well with lush tress and plants. grounds are well maintained. the pool is very well maintained and a lovely feature of the hotel. ||||there are a couple of options on the brekkie list. I had the coffee + egg + bacon + toasted baguette option and it was descent portion. my friend had the asian noodle and it was very basic instant noodles with little broth. the whole contain was about 1/3 of the bowl it came with - very small portion. ||||the location of Sabbay Kep is excellent, right next to restaurants at crab market. it's literally a 2 min walk to all the restaurants and 5 mnin to the crab market. it's very close to the shops but yet still very quiet from the bustling scene. ||||there are also some parking on the hotel ground so don't need to park on the road outside. ||||Overall a pleasant stay at Sabbay Kep. Staff are really friendly and helpful. i would consider to stay here...
Read moreA wonderful little oasis away from the big corporate hotels of the world. This small family run business really cares about your stay helping with yours and transport and anything that arises. We stayed 3 nights had our laundry done and ate in the restaurant twice. The pool area overlooks the sea which is just across the road. It’s a hop skip and jump from the crab market and a short ride to the main beach. The bungalow was quiet and set in tropical surroundings it is just like the pictures. |The beds are hard as they are across this country. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a beautiful bathroom. The air-con worked well and we enjoyed the comfort of that. Great value for money. |The food was home cooked - not had real homemade chips for ages! And they prepared food to suit our vegetarian needs. It has Cambodian and French but has traditional favourites |We hired a motorbike to go around and see the sights including rabbit island which was lovely. There is a great deal of litter washed up on the beaches here and the locals are constantly trying to clear it but it keeps on washing up. If you are after a perfectly manicured tropical setting it’s not that it is a place that Cambodian families come for holidays ||We would recommend this hotel...
Read moreOmg, how do I even convey how amazing the hospitality at this hotel is and how good the food is.|Fred and his wife Nyny run an incredibly fantastic and vibrant yet chilled establishment. All of their staff from cleaners and gardners to waiting and bar staff are incredibly welcoming, polite and will do everything and more for all guests. |Nyny's cooking is too die for, it is more than outstanding, if you do not have the time to stay here one night then at least come for a meal. You will not be disappointed! Ask if they have any specials that are not on the menu, it is worth the question. We both came away from our short stay here a lot bigger but also happy to be. |I only have two minor comments which is the beds are slightly hard for me personally (but this may be fine for someone else) and the decking around the pool could benefit from replacing but as Fred and Nyny only took over the hotel during the Covid pandemic I am sure they will replace this when they get more international tourists again. Do not let these two minor things prevent you...
