My family decided to stay at the far end of Otras II Beach to try to avoid the noise and crowds of the other beaches. We were satisfied with this decision and enjoyed our days on the beach. The Jully Anna is not a beachfront hotel, but it was a 2 minute walk to the beach. Considering that we spent most of the day on the beach then I couldnt see why you would need to spend 4 times as much in an up-market hotel when we are all at the same location for the same thing - the beach.||Jully Anna was an average hotel and the rooms could be cleaner. The beds were made each day and the bathroom was sparsely cleaned, but there is dust and debris in areas that do not immediately catch your eye. ||The wifi was a real issue in the room. VERY slow. In the reception and pool area the wifi is good.||Although the pool is small, our children did enjoy the pool and we used it daily.||The Jully Anna staff were friendly and the odd misunderstanding was excusable.||The breakfast in the morning was sufficient.||||Pros : location, pool and friendly staff.||Cons : poor wifi in the room / rooms not as clean as they should be||||Would we stay again? I came to Sihanoukville in 2001 and thought it a quaint holiday town and so I returned nearly 20 years later. I WILL NOT RETURN AGAIN - Sihanoukville is a dumping ground for the worlds plastic. There is litter everywhere and with so many hotels being constructed the signs are that this place will deteriorate...
Read moreWhere do i start? Thr sewage in the bathroom smelled horrible all the time. The shower and the toilet was in one room. The younger Khmer man in the front office was very rude on several occassions. The young khmer man at he front office window cheated me into paying $16 for a took when the standard price for the same distance was only $10. The older khmer man at the front office became angry when we were getting hot water for our noodles. Chinese clients get the hot water every morning without altercation. Then he asked my friend to clean the mess. " clean the access water off the table" He was very rude. I would not recommend this place for anyone. It looked good on the internet but it was not. The $50 per night stay seemed like a bargain but it was not. It was more like a $20 room with $5 services. Lastly, the small swimming pool sucked. It is the worst place to stay on this...
Read moreIf it weren't for all the construction noise coming from the building site next door (a high-rise hotel is in the process of being built, and the noise begins at 7am sharp!), I would give this property high marks: large room with good A/C and strong WiFi, nice selection of á la carte breakfast items included in the price of the room, large clean swimming pool with several comfortable lounge chairs available for use. And right across the street from Otres 2 beach--this place is excellent value. But until the construction next door is complete, I hesitate to recommend it. (Oh!...and they started to replace the roof over the outdoor commons area the...
