If you’re looking for a peaceful escape from the bustle of Sihanoukville, Naiya Sea Resort at Otres Beach is a hidden gem worth considering. I was invited by the owner to stay and, as someone who already gravitates toward this area, it was an easy decision to accept.||||Otres Beach offers a rare combination of seclusion, stunning walkable beachfronts, and nearby gems like the Brown Coffee shop, which boasts one of the best views in the country. Naiya Sea Resort fits perfectly into this serene environment with its unbeatable location directly across from the beach.||||The hotel itself has a comfortable, no-frills charm. While it could use some updates, it has all the essentials for a relaxing stay. My room, Room 30, was impressively spacious, featuring a quirky yet functional layout with the toilet and shower in separate rooms—a design I’ve only encountered a handful of times. The balcony was a highlight, offering fantastic views of the beach and the surrounding tranquility.||||One delightful touch was the availability of sun hats for guests, perfect for lounging by the pool or on the beach. It’s thoughtful details like this that elevate the experience. The breakfast was decent, the amenities were solid, and the overall atmosphere was calm and inviting.||||The staff were pleasant and prepared for my arrival, adding to the smooth and enjoyable stay. Nights were quiet, and the peaceful surroundings ensured a good night’s sleep.||||If you’re planning a visit to Sihanoukville but prefer to escape the chaos, Naiya Sea Resort is a great option. Comfortable, well-located, and with direct access to Otres Beach, it’s a spot I’d happily return to. Highly...

Pro: Location is near to airport. Since it's the first beach(Otres Beach) to reach or pass by when travelling from airport to hotel. The Otres beach right in front is quiet, not too crowded. One can relaxs and enjoy without much disturb except from some random food paddlers.
Room is spacious enough, sufficient space for 2 paxs + luggages. Bed is comfortable, 4 big pillows and 2 small pillows provided. Amenities overall provided is kind of sufficient.
Breakfast was included in my booking. Varieties are limited. Mostly Asian style from white porridge to fried rice. A chef is there to cook you a bowl of soup noodles and fried eggs if you request for them. Since we just wanna fill up a portion of our empty stomach before proceeding to the beach for relaxation and foods so not much of a complaint though.
Con: The shower drainage gives a bad smell which I can smell it when I was trying to sleep at night. Probably maintenance to check on the rooms will be nice to ensure the room quality.
Only 1 roll of toilet paper was provided throughout my 3 days stay. Maybe an extra roll can be taken into consideration since people are coming for a short staycation so they might not be asking for room service.
The curtains were unable to close fully hence part of the morning sunlight come through. A quick fix from hotel should be able to rectify it.
All in all, it was a good and pleasant stay. Most staffs are friendly which I feel is real important in service sector.

Read moreA fantastic experience made possible by the entire amazing staff of this wonderful resort. Tep and Dara were especially kind and generous with their time. Tep helped arrange an island hopping tour and even accompanied me on her day off. Dara took time out of his day to sit and chat with me each day while I ate breakfast, a nice touch for a solo traveler. Everyone was so kind and cheerful. They were all smiling all the time. I met the owner and immediately understood why. His kindness and care for the staff members was obvious in his interactions with them. That type of managerial style inevitability translates into cheerful and thoughtful service. I applaud this entire operation for their genuine care for each other and the guests. The attention to detail and care showed in the quality of the groundskeeping, housekeeping, and food service. (The breakfast service was incredible, especially the made to order noodles and egg station). I could go on but this place reall has to be experienced to be believed. And at this price point it is an incredible value for money. One more thing: the location at the very end of Otres Beach is perfect. The beach was very quiet and the traffic on the road was minimal. I wouldn’t want to stay close to the noisy dusty city center. This...
