Villa Blue Lagoon — Hotel in Khaet Preah Sihanouk

We stayed at Blue Lagoon for two nights as a family after missing a flight, and overall, it was an okay stay with some pros and cons.||The property itself is cute and well-maintained, with a clean pool and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms and furniture are a bit outdated, and the beds are extremely hard so if you’re looking for soft, fluffy comfort, this might not be the place.||While breakfast isn’t included, you can purchase all meals on-site, and the food is actually quite good. My children really enjoyed the meals, and there’s a nice happy hour setup in the evenings which adds a relaxed vibe.||The biggest downside for us was the lack of hospitality. The owners were present but didn’t engage or check in on guests at all, not even a hello or “how’s your stay?” The two waitresses who served us were kind and tried to be welcoming, but you could tell they were a bit overworked.||Also, a heads-up for future guests: the bathrooms are shared unless the place is very quiet (like it was during our stay). So if it’s full, expect to share with others.||All in all, a decent short stay, especially if you’re not too picky. Super friendly and attentive owner and staff ready to help you immediately. The cleanliness is thanks to the team that cleans all the accommodation daily.

The Villa has its own kitchen and bar that deliver top-notch products. From Italian coffee in the morning, cooling fruit smoothies throughout the day and flavoured drinks by night.

The spacious pool with bubbles was one of the main assets for us. This paired with the large rooms, well equipped with airconditioners and fans, turned our 1 night planned stay into 3 🌴

I would have loved giving a 5 star rating since the place is wonderfull, extremely clean, and food is also good.

Unfortunately the mattress in the dorm was one of the worst I have ever experienced in many years of travel. There are iron bars on the surface sticking in to your body and it was impossible to find a slightly comfortable position. I would have stayed another night if the mattress was OK.

Other then that it's a really nice place, hope they can take this in consideration to make it...
