A beautiful hotel - The staff make you feel like family and welcome you back every time you return to the property. A 1950's hotel, enclosed with private gardens and a lovely half sunk pool - an oasis in the middle of the city. Surrounding the pool their are plenty of sunloungers and cabanas which are perfect to relax in after a day in Phnom Penh. Sun or shade there is a spot in the garden for everyone. Location is great - the property is down a private road that has security 24/7 due to the embassy. There are plenty of restaurants and amenities within walking distance and the hotel can get you a friendly tuk tuk wherever else you need to go. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. Our only grumble would be our shower was over the bath and wasn't very powerful and not a 'rainfall' shower as described & The wifi is also a little slow but neither of these points would discourage us from staying again. The breakfast was a la carte and you picked from a menu - plenty of choice and very tasty and it was a great start to the day sitting in the garden having coffee. A brilliant stay and we cannot thank the staff enough.

Reading all the reviews, I was a bit skeptical. Many reviews stated it’s an “Oasis” in the city. It seemed too good to be true but they were absolutely right! The hotel is spectacular and is truly an Oasis. When you walk in, you are greeted with a beautiful garden. Sun loungers to the left, a pool and cabanas on your right. The staff is very hospitable and makes your stay so much better. They’ve asked if our bed is comfortable and added a mattress topper for extra softness. The manager took the time to research where we were from and was delighted to hear all she learnt. The owner is so kind and really takes care of you. The hotel has a delicious breakfast that is available almost all day. Yup! You heard right, all day. This is so helpful for jet lag. Laundry is available as well at a reasonable cost. Lastly, when we departed, we were escorted outside by the staff and the owner. We said our goodbyes and it felt like bidding farewell to family. Thank you iRoHa for the amazing stay and making Cambodia memorable. To everyone reading this, you will not regret booking here.

Look no further, this place is a must! The hotel owner and staff have absolutely all the experience needed in making sure guests feel at home. We were first welcomed by the hotel staff with welcome drinks and cold towels. The owner then greeted us and brought a map of Phnom Penh and explained everything around us in details. He is extremely loving and warm to chat with. The entire staff felt like our brothers and sisters during our stay. They helped us with everything we needed and if they did not have an answer, they researched with us! I can go on and on about their service but I’ll spare you the blabber. Just go ahead, trust me and book! We decided to go to Siem Reap for a few nights before leaving to Bali from phnom penh and felt like we had to end our stay in Cambodia with them again. The hotel owner even gave us packaged snacks for our trip to Siem Reap! We are so excited to be back for another night tonight before flying again tomorrow. Other than the hospitality being 1000/1000, their swimming pool, garden, breakfast, and rooms are beautiful.

The value of the Iroha Garden Hotel is exceptional.

The staff are like your family. Its not cheap, but its also not too expensive either. And therein lies the rub: You get a nice comfortable, modern, contemporary, stylish room. You get a great breakfast (anytime during the day). Everyone is there to help you with anything, large or small, and they do so quickly, and efficiently, with a genuine smile. They make you feel like your are part of the family. The owner is very friendly and works hard to make every guest feel welcome. And this attitude and work ethic is reflected in all of the staff. People that live in PP come here for a long weekend, and that is telling. At the end of the day, you feel like your money is well-spent. You won't find a better value. You are basically paying half price for the service level. To get this service level anywhere else, you will pay double.

The hotel is located on a semi-private, gated road, so traffic on the street is minimal. It is a large garden compound, set away from the street. It is very quiet most of the days and nights, yet in close proximity to the hustle and bustle of PP.

A very helpful young man on the staff helped me obtain a decent hardtail bike, which I rented for $10 a day, to do local rides around the city. But I don't recommend this city riding for beginners, as it is challenging urban riding in and out of thousands of scooters, tuktuks, cars, trucks, etc. Crazy but also fun!

I don't want to mention staff by name, but all the young gals and guys were so incredibly friendly and helpful and caring. Thank you to everyone that made my stay wonderful!

If you stay longer than two weeks, they will work with you on rates. If you need to make changes to your booking schedule, they will work with you.

I will probably return to PP just to go visit the Iroha...

iRoHa Garden Hotel & Resort: A Home Away from Home

What can I say about iRoHa Garden Hotel & Resort? From the moment I arrived, it felt like home. Nestled in a tranquil and serene part of the city, the location is perfect for anyone seeking peace and calm.

The warm welcome began with a refreshing drink, thoughtfully introduced by the staff, who took the time to explain what it was and even inquire about my preferences and dietary habits. They then requested a moment to walk me through the property and its facilities; a gesture that instantly made me feel valued.

What truly stood out was the personal touch. The owner and CEO himself took the time to meet and greet me. With a map in hand, he enthusiastically shared recommendations for exploring the city, making sure I was all set for my adventures.

I had the pleasure of savoring some authentic Cambodian cuisines during my stay, and every bite was a treat for the senses. The culinary experience added so much to the charm of the place.

The staff? Absolutely wonderful, friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The food and amenities exceeded expectations, leaving no room for complaints.

Now, here's the part that completely blew me away: I had an early morning flight the next day and needed to leave by 5:30 AM. To my surprise, the owner showed up at that early hour to personally see me off. He even walked me to the cab that was waiting outside—a gesture of kindness and hospitality I will never forget.

And here’s the cherry on top: During my stay, I helped myself to two beers from the minibar in my room. When I informed the staff about it, they simply smiled and didn’t charge me for them!

iRoHa Garden Hotel & Resort isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience, one that I would...

The IroHa Garden Resort was our first stop when we arrived in Cambodia from the U.K. The hotel delivered everything we had expected and far more. We had known that we would be exhausted after our long journey and getting used to the time difference - the IroHa proved to be a complete oasis of calm and yet an easy tuk tuk or taxi ride into the centre of bustling Phnom Penh. The whole hotel is tastefully and authentically furnished, our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, the attention to every detail to make your stay comfortable is amazing but as other reviews have written what really stands out are the people. The staff cannot do enough for you - they are always smiling, helpful and welcoming. The owner Mr Kuroda, welcomed us personally, gave us some top tips for getting the most out of Phnom Penh, and waved us on our way 3 days later, we got the impression that he made this effort with all of his guests - reinforcing the impression that everyone at the IroHa goes the extra mile to make your stay special. For us, another important positive was the ethos of sustainability throughout, this was consistent with no compromises to comfort whatsoever. We can’t recommend...
