Lao Bao Hot Pot — Restaurant in Khan Boeng Keng Kang

We stopped here for our first meal after we landed in Cambodia for lunch. It is a very spacious restaurant with air condition. It is a two-floor restaurant. The servers were really friendly. The server explained to us that they normally seat people on the second floor first before they seat people on the first floor. They do not take reservations. It is first come first serve. It is unlimited but you have to let the server know which item(s) you would like to have and they will bring it out to your table. They will give you every item they have on the first set so you get to see that they have to offer. If you do not like any of the items, you can just let the server knows to take it away. You get to pick if you want one type of broth or two different types of broth. They also have a sauce station for you to pick or mix your own sauce. Yes, it is unlimited but you will only have two hours to eat. They also have plum juice that was pretty good. If you like sour, you can add extra lime juice from the sauce station which we did and it was amazing! They also offer popsicle with multiple flavor options that you pick from a small freezer after your meal....

The place supposedly closes at 12AM. I went in at around 10ish PM with another party. The place was pretty empty but the workers appeared to be very occupied. It was tough trying to get utensils to eat with. We were then asked to pay as they were closing their register early. We did that. As we were eating, a waiter placed a small plate with three pieces of watermelon on our table and says to eat it. We’re still not done with dinner yet. When we were finished we had the watermelons. I turned to look at the fruit display that was there when we walked in. Everything disappeared. They had cleaned it all up and was told there was no more. Lol. We were offered ice cream. The customer service is horrible. The food was just okay nothing special. I should have went to my usual Duo Lao Hot Pot. Work on your schedule and...

One of the Worst Buffet Experiences Ever, I usually don’t leave reviews, but here the meat was absolutely disgusting clearly frozen for what feels like a year. It had that grayish color , I didn’t feel safe eating any of it , service was just as bad. The staff were helpful tho but everything is take so slow to order , we’ve been sitting like 10 min and no one got us hot pot broth and grilling paper , Plates were slow to get cleared.
