We were warmly welcomed at the entrance by the General Manager, Mr. Ody, and the Rooms Manager, Mr. Calvin Ooi. Their team took the time to assist our party of three with a smooth and hospitable check-in. We sincerely appreciated the offer of repeated drinks and freshly prepared snacks from the kitchen, even though we arrived after the Horizon Club canapé hours. Calvin even shared a small secret—he personally contacted the manager of Rasa Sayang Hotel in Penang (where I celebrated my birthday with a weekend stay for 16 guests a few years ago) to check on any special requirements I might have.||As first-time guests at Shangri-La Phnom Penh, we were delighted to receive a brief overview of the city’s history, its vibrant cuisine, and must-visit attractions. This personal touch truly enriched our overall experience.||Shangri-La Phnom Penh was truly exceptional—a modern, designer’s dream that exudes elegance and luxury. The decor was a refreshing departure from traditional Shangri-La style, offering a contemporary and sophisticated ambiance. The panoramic views from the Mekong Lounge and the balcony of the health club were breathtaking, with gusty winds adding to the awe-inspiring scenery.||Our room, amenities, and furnishings were of the highest quality. Thoughtful touches, such as additional amenities in the dining area and kitchen, were greatly appreciated. My foam memory pillow was provided without request, exemplifying the attentive service that defined our stay.||Breakfast was both a visual feast and a culinary delight. The extensive variety, featuring top-quality local ingredients, was impressive. What stood out most was being greeted by name by Mr. Stephen Lim, the Director of Operations, despite not having met him before. He personally took the time to introduce me to the offerings and ensured I was aware of the vegetarian options, even though I only mentioned my dietary preferences the night before at the Mekong Lounge (currently serving as the Horizon Lounge). This seamless handover and genuine care truly exemplify Shangri-La’s professionalism.||Additionally, I was reminded of my airport transfer the evening before check-out, and I appreciated the reassurance that ample time had been allocated, considering traffic and airport procedures.||Kudos to the entire team for an unforgettable stay. We are longtime loyal guests of Shangri-La, and we were excited to stay at their beautiful new property in Phnom Penh. Our 3-night stay was part of our first-ever trip to Cambodia—a destination long on our bucket list.||From the start, the experience was smooth. Airport access was easy, and though we arrived at 2 AM, the night staff was incredibly welcoming and efficient. We booked two connecting rooms—one with a king bed and the other with twin beds. The rooms were spacious, modern, and very comfortable. The twin room had a unique layout with separate shower and toilet areas, each with its own sink—perfect for families.||The blackout curtains worked beautifully, and the in-room setup (sofa lounge, desk, cooler, and later-provided coffee machine) made our stay extra comfortable. |Beds were comfortable and we all|got a restful sleep. We also appreciated the healthy welcome touches like filtered water and fresh fruit.||Breakfast was delicious, with both Western and Khmer options, and a bright, beautiful view of the Mekong River. When it comes to dining, the restaurant is simply phenomenal. I highly recommend the burger—by far the juiciest, most flavorful burger in the city, a true culinary masterpiece that leaves an unforgettable impression.

The fitness and wellness facilities are equally outstanding. Lake, the gym manager, leads an impeccable team, ensuring the gym is spotless, fully equipped, and expertly maintained. The dedication to cleanliness, organization, and guest experience is evident in every detail. Swimming in the pristine pool while overlooking the stunning city skyline is nothing short of magical.
