NagaCity Walk - Duty Free Shopping — Local services in Khan Chamkar Mon

CDF (Cambodia Duty Free Shop), is here in Phnom Penh. It is located in the basement of Nagaworld Resort, a mixed used of property for Hotel and Casino. The Nagaworld itself is in the heart of Phnom Penh city, where it is surrounded by Koh Pich Island (Diamond Island), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (just behind the Nagaworld 1 Building), PGCT Centre and Samdech Hun Sen Street.

You can access the CDF via the main entrance of the Nagaworld 1, or the Nagaworld's 1 side entrance on Samdech Hun Sen Street. Or if you drive your car, you may park your car in the parking lot that you can access through the backside of the building at Samdech Hun Sen Street in the second floor or higher. Yes, you are right. You and your car need to climb the building to reach the parking lot then going down using elevator to G floor then to basement in which CDF is located via escalator near the main entrance.

Is that a complicated route? Yes it is. That's why it would better for you to ride Tuk Tuk or Remorque rather than headache looking for parking space for your car. Riding Tuk Tuk or Remorque, you can stop right in front of the main entrance and go down to the basement area. Of course you need to have your body temperature checked first.

Or, you can also park in the street side beside the Nagaworld 1 Building, in front of / opposite of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Make sure that the security guard there allow you to park, otherwise don't park.

You don't park in front of the PGCT Centre because the security guard of this PGCT will ask you where you will be going. If you say: I am going to visit the Nagaworld, then the security guard will not let you park there.

In Nagaworld, the security guard will check your body temperature, to make sure that it does not exceed highest tolerable temperature (around 37.3 C). That is now common practice to ensure the safety of all and for all during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Back to the CDF itself, there are several international brands on offer, from cosmetics to parfumeries; from traveling gear to local cosmetic and herbal balm, sun glasses, lady bag, etc. You may find international cosmetic brand such as Kiehl's, Clinique, Shiseido, Levi's, Samsonite, Rado, Gucci, Burberry, Emporio Armani, etc. One thing worth noting, the product on offer are much less in varieties. Some products that usually on shelves, now I can not find them. I don't know why.

The waitress normally speaks basic English, Mandarin and Khmer. Most visitors are Chinese tourists. As a repeating visitor, I can see that during the Covid-19 Pandemic, not many people come for shopping. I guess the visitors less +/- 90% of normal days before Covid-19 hit the world in early 2020. Casinos at Nagaworld have been being opened since several months ago (closed during the early Covid-19 Pandemic), and I can see not many visitor there especially in the Ground floor.

I like this place for a chill out if you want to escape the hot weather outside. A shopping belt of 100m that lead you to naga 2 too.

There is also a cafe in the middle that yo are eat your leg and enjoy some cake sa ND coffee or tea.

The shops are mostly targeting Chinese customer as allbtebstaff can speak Chinese too.

But the luxury stuff there are more expensive than the airport although they claimed they...

A duty free shop in the middle of the town.

This is my go to place whenever i need to buy any perfumes or fragrances….. or even high end products (of Gucci / Lacoste / Rimowa / skin care / glasses )
