White Sand Ark Resort — Hotel in Koh Rong

It was a very nice experience to stay here.

Rooms : We stayed in bungalow for a very affordable price. It is a Japanese inspired room. Very minimalist but the woodworks in the room are really nice looking. Our room is airconditioned and has a fan for your liking. The private bathroom has hot and cold water and has toiletries available.

Service : Superb service by everyone. We arrived at breakfast time. Although we have not checked in yet, they were nice enough to let us enjoy free breakfast. While waiting for them to prepare the room, they gladly looked out for our belongings. All of them always greets you with a smile. They are very apologetic about their English but they communicate and always happy to serve. They have some facilities to use to sit and watch the wave or sunbathe, to go with that, a towel is available for you to use if you dip into the ocean.

Location : Look at the photos. It is a few steps away from the beach. It is also just a few minute walk to get to the port.

Extra notes : They have their own restaurant wherein you can dine and drink. It can be a bit pricey, but hey, you are in paradise. They offer BBQ night and would set up tables at night in front of the beach. Only comment is there are some sort of flies inside the room, it can be because the toilet window is open. You may use the fan to take care of these...

“Best location and service on the island” The place is run by a Russian person with a wonderful set of staff. The crew was waiting for us on the pier. From the moment we stepped in, we were treated with lot of love and attention. We booked a Japanese style A room which is on the first floor with a breathtaking view of the sea right from the low floor beds. Cleanliness is top notch. The breakfast spread is very elaborate with lots of homemade items like yogurt, jams etc. We tried the other restaurants in sok san also but food here is the best. The staff namely, Nikolai, Tanya, Anna and Dmitry were really friendly and accepted our every request. They provide snorkels also for free which is really cool as there are really great snorkeling spots on the island. And the beach… well we traveled all across the island and sok san beach is by far the cleanest for swimming with the whitest sands. Only lonely beach might have a better view and better marine life but that is quite remote. To summarise, this place just made our island vacation as perfect as possible. My stay at the White Sand Ark Resort in Koh Rong was simply exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beauty of the white sandy beach and the turquoise waters that surround the hotel. It truly is a little slice of paradise.

What made my experience unforgettable was the remarkable staff. Every member of the team was incredibly kind, always smiling and ready to assist me. They provided excellent recommendations for activities on the island, which enriched my stay. Thanks to their attentiveness and availability, I felt right at home. The hotel’s playlist was absolutely fantastic, featuring the perfect blend of relaxing tunes and upbeat songs that made my stay even more enjoyable.

My room was spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The meals served at the restaurant were delicious.

In summary, the White Sand Ark Resort is a magical place where one can recharge and relax away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I am truly sad to be leaving, but I hold onto the hope of returning very soon to this little piece...
