Bou Savy Villa — Hotel in Siem Reap

Owner Mr Bovuth was very helpful and kind-hearted. He made all the arrangements to make our stay at Bou Savy Villa, a pleasant one during our recent visit to Angkor Wat, Cambodia. Pick & drop off at the airport, a very good tour guide, other local arrangements like Cambodian Cultural Dance & Buffet show tickets and Tuk-Tuk for local daily transportations. The location of the hotel was very good, conveniently located near to all the restaurants, markets and mainly Angkor Archaeological Park. Hotel is family friendly, peaceful and relaxing. They have a swimming pool and lots of greenery on the premises. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Provided hearty breakfast everyday morning. Rooms and the lobby are kept clean all the time. ||||Tour guide Mr Chenla Mao was very knowledgeable about the Angkor Archaeological Park and the locality. He is very friendly and took good care of my aged father. Always on time and planned out our days properly not to over exhaust my dad and at the same time was able to cover most of the park with detailed explanation. Also learnt lot of photo tricks from him :-)||||The car driver was also very friendly. He also acted as a professional photographer taking lots of decent pictures of us while we were exploring the place. ||||Overall, we really had a good time and planning to recommend to my friends to stay at Bou Savy Villa and engage the same tour guide & team for their visit to Angkor...

Good Points- the rooms are very spacious and were clean the day we went . Staff was very friendly all the time. rooms have private balcony. the hotel is at a good location not to close or far from the city centre hardly a 10-15 min walk. its a fairly quite place as well around the hotel. there are some local shops around the corner if you need any thing .

Bad Points - there is i think a karaoke club around the place some where and we could here singing till late in the night ,hence i mentioned fairly quite. our rooms were not cleaned on the 3rd day of are stay and were told this was due to large number of rooms checking out . when the tea/coffee given in the room finished and we asked them to replenish it , i was flatly refused saying we only do it once . which is quite odd for some one for them to refuse it as it costs merely anything .the mini bar was not working in the room as wasn't the TV .

Only a few minutes walk from downtown, but the feeling is being in an almost semi-rural environment, with unsealed roads, store fronts selling drinks and food, and dogs and chickens roaming everywhere.... and it's authentic experience.||The villa is sort of in the French Provincial style, with a front entrance surrounded by lush vegetation, and an inviting swimming pool. The reception staff are friendly, and the accomodation comfortable.||Lovely clean rooms, with HUGE comfortable beds, and a small fridge, and television (which I couldn't really get to work, but I don't watch much television anyway).||The air-conditioning is (of course), a blessing, as is the swimming pool. You can come and go as you please.||A clean bathroom, but it's advisable to try and use the bidet hose, rather than toilet paper, as the loo can block fairly easily (as I...
