I stayed six nights in a Residence Suite in the low season for tourists (October).
First let me say that besides Khmer Mansion Residence, I stayed in two other higher-end hotels, but neither could live up to the high expectations I had after staying at Khmer Mansion Residence.
The staff here makes up the very essence and soul of this hotel.
I felt so cared for from the moment I got to the hotel.
Every single staff member is so kind, attentive and considerate, and they really want to make your stay in Siem Reap a trip to remember for a lifetime.
I decided to book KMR after reading other similar reviews about the excellent service, but words cannot really do these lovely people justice.
Thanks to the close care of Chet, Wannit, Rathana, Devi, Luna, September, Nana, Jenny, Khim, Phat, Srey Ni, Srey Nut, SaSa and every single one of the members here, I had such a memorable stay and came away with many new oun (younger sisters/brothers) in the process.
The service here is polite yet friendly, polished yet human and relaxed and every bit as considerate and kind as I could have wished.
I cannot say enough about these wonderful young people.
If you want a smaller boutique hotel that emphasises a human connection, this is it.
Everyone really went out of their way to help, and September even came with me to the laundry shop three times to help communicate with the shop owner about my laundry.
Regarding the room, the housekeeping team did a great job of keeping things clean, and I’m quite picky when it comes to cleanliness.
They were quite detailed in their cleaning — I came back one day and saw the floors still a bit wet as they had mopped the floors for me.
They remembered that I drink a lot of water, so they always left me plenty of water. I was never thirsty!
Once a day in the evening they would come by and leave me some brownies and light an oil burner to fill the room with a lemongrass scent.
Things this hotel does well: ・The people. Hands down. ・Food. The breakfast buffet selection is great → lots of protein options, fresh fruit, vegetables and Khmer noodle soup. Every day they have a special breakfast item too. ・Remembering your name and preferences. ・Water pressure → the shower (at least mine) had decent water pressure compared to the hotels I stayed at in Vietnam and Cambodia. The water also stayed warm.
Some points administration could improve: ・Get better hair dryers → for the money that guests are paying, they could provide better working hair dryers (stronger air). ・Fix the shower hose placement → As a Japanese, I use the shower hose more than the rain shower function. The shower hose has two placements; one tall and one low. I’m small so I use the low setting. The low setting is right in front of the shower water handle, so you cannot put the hose on the wall while the water is on. This is a bit inconvenient. ・Shower drain too small → Water fills up quickly leaving your feet in a pool of water because the shower drain holes are too small. ・Better gym equipment → For fellow weightlifters, you might be disappointed. There is no power rack/squat rack, and there are very limited dumbbells (up to 20kg). There is a new gym (Bulldogs Fitness) about 550m from the hotel that I used. This gym had most of what I needed and you can get a day pass for $5. ・Provide staff with lunch → The staff here work very hard so I hope management can provide them with lunch so they are getting sufficient food...

Read moreI am going to post this review: I recently had the pleasure of staying at Khmer Mansion Residence in Siem Reap, Cambodia, and I must say it was absolutely the best hotel I have ever experienced. From the moment our flight landed, their commitment to their slogan, "Home away from Home," became evident. A friendly staff member was there to greet us and upon arrival at the hotel, we were welcomed with refreshing drinks and delicious snacks. This exceptional level of service continued throughout our entire stay. What truly impressed me was the unwavering attentiveness and kindness displayed by the staff. Every time we ventured out in our tuktuk, they were ready with cold drinks and refreshing towels upon our return. Their dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction was unparalleled. It is rare to find a team so genuinely caring and attentive to their guests. To make our anniversary celebration even more special, the staff went above and beyond. They meticulously prepared the bathtub and bedspread, adorning them with flowers arranged to spell out our names. It was a thoughtful and unforgettable gesture that added an extra touch of romance to our stay. The staff consistently wore warm smiles and their genuine desire to make every guest feel at home was evident. They even assisted us in communicating with our tuktuk drivers, ensuring clear communication and preventing any misunderstandings. Additionally, they made special efforts to accommodate our dietary preferences, going out of their way to find vegetarian or vegan options for us.I must commend the hotel on its exceptional cleanliness. Throughout our stay, I encountered no issues with mosquitoes or other insects. The hotel carries out regular spraying, and by simply keeping the balcony windows closed when we were out or during the night, we had a mosquito-free environment.I wholeheartedly recommend Khmer Mansion Residence to everyone visiting Siem Reap. It surpasses any 5-star hotel experience I have had in Singapore or elsewhere. The value for money is exceptional, especially considering the additional benefits they provide. They arranged transportation to and from the hotel, provided valuable insights on local attractions, and even offered recommendations for food delivery. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Siem Reap; this hotel is unequivocally the best choice.I will cherish the memories and the friendships we formed with the staff, like Sokha, Peter, Sreyni and Samarth, during our stay. Their genuine care and hospitality made our time at Khmer Mansion Residence truly...
