From the minute we walked into the resort it was absolute Paradise - cocktails on arrival whilst our bags were taken to our beautiful suites with private pool, both of which were impeccably clean, well maintained and beautifully decor'd. The resort grounds are tropical and beautifully kept with much luscious foliage, flowers and greenery. The main resort pool was cool, impeccably clean like the rooms and this experience has taught me that you do not need a beach to enjoy a tropical holiday in southeast Asia. The staff at this resort are more than incredible, I cannot speak highly enough of their service, kindness and their ability to assist us do what we wanted in Siem Reap. They are always happy and smiling which only excelled our experience. Breakfast was included, and all meals and cocktails at this resort were a 10 star. I can highly recommend ANY cocktail and they have the best barman in Cambodia- Sakhor is an absolute legend and just has the touch. French toast for breakfast was sooo tasty as well as their signature cocktail "Dragonfruit Kiss". We had a sunrise trip arranged to Angkor Wat temple, the staff packed breakfast in travel packs to ensure we were well nourished for our journey. My family and I sat watching sunrise at Angkor Wat enjoying toasted sandwiches and fresh water all arranged by the staff at The Grange resort. It is a morning I will never forget and I am very grateful for. I have traveled often and stayed in some beautiful places but nothing compares, it was more than we could have ever asked for at SUCH affordable rates. It is located in a peaceful and quieter part of Siem Reap (walking distance to town) and due to the efforts of the staff and resort manager, ensuring we had an amazing experience of Siem Reap, they are worth their weight in gold. I will return annually and cannot wait to bring friends as Siem Reap is a very affordable country for Australians to visit, safe for families (incl small children) and single travelers alike. I would not hesitate to travel through Cambodia solo. My family and I were so satisfied with this resort that words do not cover our experience and I cried on departure. I will miss the beautiful people we have met on our journey & I believe due to the staffs effort at The Grange to ensure we had such an amazing holiday I'm in love with Siem Reap, Cambodia and the Khmer culture. I cannot wait to explore other parts of Cambodia on my return next year, such beautiful people, peaceful vibes and the best holiday I could have asked for. Thanks to those who run and work at The Grange resort, well done team - your efforts, kindness and assistance were greatly appreciated. Do not hesitate to stay at The Grange if you are going to Siem Reap it was beyond...
Read moreI have just come back from experiencing a super holiday staying at the Grange. The staff and the General Manager Dom offered an excellent individual friendly service and I felt that all the staff were just excellent. Dom goes "the extra mile" to make your holiday so special, in fact I was supposed to stay for one week, however as I felt so comfortable and relaxed I remained there for the entirety of my 3 week holiday. This did not stop me from exploring Cambodia and I was able to visit the historical sites, visit the markets etc making use of their patient and English speaking Cambodian driver who was there at hand for every trip. I stayed in the family room which was very luxurious with its own private terrace and plunge pool. The hotel in itself is very clean with supplies of towels with a beautiful well kept swimming pool for lounging around and "cooling off". The food was outstanding which included vegetarian (often designed for your taste) and gluten free options with fresh juices and delicious fruit plates on offer. The staff are happy to organise the spa visits where the transportation there and back to said spa is free. All of which each massage and treatment is completed by experienced staff at amazingly low prices. The Grange is merely a 20 min walk or a 5 minute tuk tuk ride into Pub St so its close to everything yet far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. I have been informed that the owner has contributed to local charities including supporting and helping build a primary school and I noted that he "cares for his staff". I would like to thank Dom and all the wonderful staff especially Sofis (who brought the sunshine in his pocket every day), and Leehaw for all their incredible hospitality and helping to make me feel welcome and part of their community. Many thanks for a...
Read moreThis is a great place to stay in Siem Reap. They arranged a Tuktuk and guide for Angkor Wat the first day. We did the small circuit and it was nice to have a Tuktuk and guide waiting for us in the morning. Afterwards we came back and swam in the pool. They have nice comfortable loungers around the pool with umbrellas and big towels, and we ordered lunch and swam.
Our room was exceptional. We stayed in the deluxe king room with the balcony facing the pool. Note, that it's up three flights of stairs and there is no elevator, so if that is a problem, make sure you say that in your booking so they can put you in a different room. The room itself was very very clean, good hot water, comfortable bed, many places to put your things, mini fridge, kettle, coffee, tea, milk and water, bathrobes, and a TV.... and the terrace was lovely over the pool, with chairs and a table so we could sit outside in the evening. The manager Dom is Australian so having an English speaker to arrange things was convenient. We had laundry done twice which is same day if they put it in a dryer or next day hung dry and was just a few dollars. It was done well and came back neatly. All the staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfast and food and cocktails were tasty as well, though we mostly ate at the different restaurants around town and out at the temples. We loved the Grange so much we stayed 10 days total. To get around if you don't rent a scooter we used Grab which comes in 2 minutes anywhere in Siem Reap and is about a $1 to Pub Street or almost anywhere in town. We really loved our stay at the Grange! The property and pool were just so beautiful and it was quiet. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area and are...
