Summary: This hotel is still under construction as of December 2017, which will likely allow you to find it at a discounted rate. Some amenities that are advertised are not actually ready yet, but staff make up for this with their incredible service; if something is not to your liking, just ask and they will do their best to accommodate you. The pool is big and beautiful, and the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel. (Read on for more details)
As of December 2, 2017, this hotel is still partly under construction, which means that some of their amenities, such as the fitness centre, sauna, hot tub/jacuzzi, and spa, are not yet available. They will also only do a buffet breakfast if they have enough guests, otherwise it is à la carte (for us, we had a buffet on the last 2 mornings of our 5-night stay). We paid a really discounted rate, and I'm sure this must be why.
To be honest, the lack of these things and the fact that we weren't notified beforehand nearly caused us to leave the day after we arrived, but we are sure glad we didn't. The manager, Ratana, and the rest of the team did their utmost best to make us comfortable despite the missing amenities; they provided free transportation and entry to a nearby gym and separate sauna/spa facility whenever we wanted; they were extremely flexible with the à la carte breakfast options and allowed us to order whatever we wanted (we are vegetarian and they were very accommodating); they provided some other freebies like drinks, meals, and rides into town to make up for the missing facilities. The service was impeccable; just ask for what you want and the staff will truly do their best to serve you.
The location is a little bit out of the way, and there isn't much around (at least not yet, but there is a lot of construction going on in the area). A tuk tuk into town costs about US$3-4. The hotel will help you arrange transport to any sights you want to visit at an additional cost.
The rooms are a good size, newly renovated and modern, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bathtub next to the window may be better in theory than in practice, so choose a room on the 3rd floor if you want to avoid frequently closing and opening the blinds (be aware though that there is no elevator. Staff will help you with your luggage). The temperature control on the shower was not great (easily went from hot to cold), but management is aware of this problem and will hopefully fix it.
The food and drinks are amazing, and reasonably-priced for a luxury hotel. Get head waiter/bartender, Kimpoeuy, to make one of his delicious cocktails and serve it to you as you lounge by their beautiful pool. The pool is long and perfect for swimming lengths, and also has a separated shallow section, ideal for children.
Overall, you should choose this hotel if you want to lounge around and enjoy the pool, while receiving...

Pool: The pool area was an absolute highlight of our trip. With its clean waters and inviting ambiance, it was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The cleanliness and the serene environment made every swim a delight.
Staff: Words cannot express how wonderful Mr. Paul and the entire hotel staff were. Their kindness was evident in every interaction; they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their smiles were infectious, and their eagerness to assist with any request, no matter how small, was genuinely appreciated. The level of service we received was exceptional, making us feel like honored guests rather than just visitors.
Hotel Design: The aesthetic of the hotel was modern. The design seamlessly blended style with comfort, creating an inviting space that felt both high standard and homely.
Rooms: Our room was spacious and very clean. The balcony is nice to sit and watch the pool area.
Breakfast: Breakfast was a great start to each day. They offer a variety of fresh fruits, aromatic coffee, and delectable pastries like croissants, among other choices.
Overall Experience: Our stay was nothing short of perfect. The combination of excellent facilities, unparalleled service, and delicious food made our experience at Green Amazon one we will cherish and certainly revisit. We left feeling pampered and genuinely cared for, which is rare and something we deeply appreciate.
The only thing that could be improved is the fitness area. It is very small and the very limited equipment is practically in not usable condition.
Thank you, Mr. Paul, and the entire team at Green Amazon for an outstanding stay. We are already looking forward to...
Read moreNot too fond of the numerous mosquitos flying around.. but its Cambodia, so I suppose it's already a reduced amount. The food for breakfast is quite decent. The pancakes are actually somewhat good... the most offputting thing would, of course, be the amount of flies and mosquitos that cling to you and everything else. The staff don't seem to mind the insects, so you'll have to try fending them off yourself. Moving on to the room, it's a fairly big hotel room, in comparison to hotels in Korea, Hong Kong, China, etc. There's a random bathtub right next to the window... thankfully, there IS an actual bathroom, but the bathtub does work. Not too much to comment about the view, just that it's not exactly paradise. One thing that does concern me, however, is the fact that theres a door leading to a small balcony. This, in itself, sounds alright, but theres a small gap between the doors that could be letting in all of the insects. Theres a lock, of course, but the gap is still there. The floor of the room is also rather.. unpromising. It's a tiled (?) floor... not sure what it is, actually, but its not carpet, that's for sure. It would look very clean if not for the fact that dead mosquitos litter the floor. Overall, the cleanliness of the rooms are.. questionable. And I say rooms, because I have seen more than 1, and they are all in similar states (not including the amount of mosquitos). Moving on to the bed... it's okay. You can get a night of good sleep. Make sure you turn on the air conditioning though, because it's hot in Cambodia, even during the night. Other facilities include a swimming pool, a TV, a desk, a closet, and a gym (last one has yet to be confirmed). One last thing, the bathroom does not have instructions for hot water. Just be careful when you're showering, in case you...
