We want to thank the whole team of The Nature for our incredible stay. For 7 days and nights we encountered only kindness, hospitality and friendship.
About the Hotel: The Nature is a private oasis about 10 minutes (by TukTuk) from the city center of Siem Reap. As its name says, it is full of nature: flowers, plants and trees, as well fish and cats. Right next to a refreshing pool are the wonderful furnished rooms. We stayed in a spacious Honeymoon Suite, which was perfectly prepared when we arrived. The restaurant offers a wide range of meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We can recommend everything but foremost the Amok with fish and Tofu-Curry (red and green). The breakfast is served daily from 6:30 on, Asian and western meals, all are perfect for a start of a long day at the Tempels. Only wish would be a additional choice of a yogurt with fruits or a kind of Musli. All juices are freshly made of organic fruits, please try the home made Cinnamon juice. All in all one of the best places we have ever been.
About the people at the Nature: The aspect that seems of the most importance is the beautiful nature of the people. We felt like home for our one week stay. From the first moment at our arrival with wonderful Riri, we felt not like regular guests, but very much appreciated and welcome. Throughout our stay we fell in love with everyone: Mr Yin and his wild snake stories and professional advice; Joseph and his kind personality, smile and support in every matter; Run and his warm presence; as well as every single person, from the gardens to the trainees. Thus made our time truly memorable and exceptional. We surely will come back. Ar koon to everybody.
About Mr Lay who made every day a perfect day: In order to visit all Tempels and surrounding sights the Hotel organized Mr Lay for us who took us to 17 Temples and many other stunning places in Angkor and further away. Please ask for Mr Lay, when you want someone who truly cares about you and your stay. He was the best companion and brought us everywhere we wanted to go, close and far. Mr. Lay has a TukTuk and a car and also offered us transfer to the Airport (60 Min) for 33$. Thank you very very much Mr. Lay.
Other things worth mentioning: You can use a 24-Hour Laundry service (1kg=2$), which was very helpful for us, since we travelled before and afterwards our time in Siem Reap. The Nature offers a Tea Time daily between 3-4:30pm, the ginger lemongrass tea is perfect after a hot day at the temples. Take your time and visit the Angkor National Museum during your stay or right at beginning. It helps you to get more out of your visits at the Temples. Mr Lay brought us to the Museum. We spent about 3 hours there and read everything. Costs at 12$ per person. Take your time at the Tempels and don’t rush through them. We had a 7-day pass for all Temples (72$) and went 5 times to all in all 17 Temples, from the most known Angkor Wat to more further away temples...

We booked the three bedroom villa months in advance and the team with Riri leading communicated with us well so when we finally arrived, there were no surprises.
On arrival we were greeted warmly by the team, with welcome drinks and afternoon tea. The villa is about 1km from the reception and main accommodation, but is serviced by a personal tuk tuk between the restaurant and reception and the villa.
The villa itself is larger than expected and has a touch of class about it with a pool, living area, kitchen, dining and laundry downstairs. Upstairs boasts three large bedrooms with two ensuited. Two rooms have private balconies overlooking the pool.
The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are cosy, noting you are in nature and within the local community.
Services between town and the villa are easy and accessible as you need. Lay was an amazing driver for us being welcoming and friendly with amazing knowledge of the area. Lay took us to the floating villages and out to Angkor Wat, providing service beyond his scope and making our experience amazing. When you stay request Lay as he is more than just a driver for you with great local knowledge and connections in the community.
For meals, we are breakfast with the team for three out of our four mornings. The meals are tasty, fresh and affordable, being delivered at your request or you can eat at the restaurant (via tuk tuk).
We ate at the restaurant on one of the nights and must say we weren’t disappointed at all. A massive shout out to Joseph and Phearson for their front of house service and our amazing meals as prepared by Sar and Kokada (who jumped in to help out in the kitchen), serving 5 star meals for us.
Overall, this is an amazing place to stay when in Siem Reap with great service, beautiful accommodation, food, comfort and that break you need.
We must acknowledge all the team for making this experience just amazing being:

Read moreROOM: The room was lovely. We stayed at the newest room, with the round stone bathtub, and it was clean, and the ambiance was amazing. You wake up in the morning to the rustle of leaves, the singing of birds, and the mild tinkling of wind chimes. You go to sleep at night and everything is quiet and all you hear are crickets. The water heater works perfectly- and it goes from cold to really hot in case you want a tubful of hot water. Air-conditioning also works great, although you don't really need it all the time because the ceiling is high and there's good ventilation. Everything is always kept clean. There's no fridge, but you can use the fridge in the main house. The bed isn't the softest, so if you have shoulder problems, it's best to sleep on your back instead of your side.
LOCATION: Location is great--- if you're looking for peace and quiet. Location is not great, if you're looking to party, and mingle, and be in the middle of everything. The town is actually just a 20 minute walk from the house, but the road is a dirt road and very dusty. During the day, it is very hot to walk, and at night very dark. Best to take a tuktuk. We personally love the location though, because it's remote and you hear the birds in the morning, and the crickets at night. It's not for everyone though.
HOST: Sokbo is a lovely host. She even went out of her way to help get me a surprise birthday cake (with candles!) for my fiancé. She speaks good English compared to most Khmer, and her two daughters are fun to talk to. Sokbo can help with booking tuktuks for her guests. She also handpicks the tuktuks and makes sure you only get a reliable ones who speak good English and won't charge you ridiculous amounts. They also have the sweetest cat in the world. We highly recommend staying at their place. We would also definitely stay there again if we ever find ourselves in Siem Reap...
