I came to Siem Reap to visit the Angkor Empire temples for 2 weeks by myself. I am so blessed that I found this hotel as my HOME there. The manager Jenny arranged an experience that I would precious for the rest of my life. ||The temples in Siem Reap had been on my bucket list for some years and I really don't want to go with a travel group. I did a lot of research before I go. But when I arrived, there's always something I missed. Thanks to the hotel manager, not only she made my stay in the hotel comfortable to my daily life, but also warm my heart as I have a family in the city. ||I picked the hotel because it's close to the Angkor National Museum, which I visited the first day by walking. The second day, I rented a bike to visit the Bakeng temple and Beyang templs. Start from the third day I visited further away distance temples from the hotel by Tuk-Tuk. Bad thing is that once you have a Tuk-Tuk, you probably won't go back to biking....:) I left Angkor Wat to the end since I think that is the highlight of all the temples. ||Each room in the hotel as I know of has a balcony, which really made it feel broad and open. The swimming pool is right below the balcony so you can hear the water flow and see the water which gave me peaceful mind. The breakfast is included and even though I stayed for 2 weeks, the varieties still greet me with pleasure everyday. (noodle soup, fried noodles, fried rice are on the menu for breakfast too besides the western food) ||Most of all, the staff in the hotel really made me feel like family, they are prompt and taking very good care of me. (sometimes I need to use google translate though)||I had a very plenitude and happy stay at the hotel and felt hard to leave the people in the hotel. Angkor temples are surreal and unbelievable that you have to see with your own eyes. Cambodia is a beautiful and abundant country with straightforward and kind-hearted peopel that you have to really talk to them to find out. I would like to share the great experience with whoever thinking about going there. You can send me any questions regarding the hotel and the trip there. I will answer them to the best of...
Read moreHello Everyone!||||My name is Josiah, I am from San Francisco California. On 24/01/2020, I had the opportunity and pleasure of visiting Angkor Wat temple in Siem Reap. I booked a private tour for myself with the help of the wonderful staff members at Model Angkor Hotel, specifically with the help of Jenny one of the managers. She made all the arrangements and I did not have to worry, I just needed to show up on time for departure. I am so thankful, because I made no special request, but I was very blessed and fortunate Jenny booked my private tour with the BEST most PROFESSIONAL and OUTSTANDING PHOTOGRAPHER/ TOUR GUIDE SITHORN TOM! It was amazing, Tom is so knowledgeable of the history about Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples as well. He walked with me and explained all the history and ancient stories of the city and Khmer Empire. Not only that, he took the most incredible photos of me at each location, and knew all the best places to get the best photos. He made it a priority to try to avoid the crowds as much as possible as this destination has many tourist visiting at the same time. But he knew the secrets to avoid them. I was very impressed. It was like we snuck in and out of the areas and Tom made me feel like a King following his body guard. I could not stop thanking him enough. Like I said he is amazing. I seriously recommend if you are thinking of taking a tour of Angkor Wat and the other temples, request SITHORN TOM to be your guide!!!! He is so kind, informative, and the god damn best photographer I could've ask for. He knew how to use my camera phone better than me! It was a great experience and I knew I was more than lucky to be guided by Tom. You can see some of the photos he took below. I have many, but the best ones are for my eyes only. I hope everyone would have the chance to book a tour with Tom so they can have such a great experience like I did. I hope this review will help you in making a great decision for your holiday! ||||Thanks again Jenny and HUGE THANKS to SITHORN...
Read moreAn EXCELLENT hotel. I have NOTHING to complain about this hotel. It's completely brand new, and everything is so clean and modern. The staff is AMAZING and extremely helpful. The location is good too - it's away from the busy streets, but pretty close to the temples and the city (20-25min walk depending on your speed!). I also spent a lot of time at the hotel restaurant (working), and it's such a great place. Reasonably priced food and drinks, with large windows facing the pool. An excellent way to work or relax on a hot day. ||||I also tripped and fell in the city, and the staff at the hotel were very kind (especially Jenny!!) and offered first aid kit. The hotel is also a 2 minute walk from a pharmacy, which they quickly pointed out when I needed more supplies. ||||The airport transfers (free) and the short tuktuk ride into the city were all reasonable!||||Because it is a new hotel, the hotel provided us with business cards to show tuktuk drivers. I only had 1 issue in my 5 and a half days there, and it was because the tuktuk driver didn't read the card properly. ||||The price of this hotel is so reasonable. If I were to come to Siem Reap again, I would DEFINITELY...
