It’s my first time in Cambodia and I don’t know anything about their culinary culture. This place came up a couple of times on some blogs as one of the best spots to eat in Siem Reap. Funny enough, my hotel is literally around the corner from this place. I learned from reviews that the BBQ is something meant to be shared and I can confirm that the restaurant was packed with people sharing amazing dishes (I have no idea what they were but they looked and smelled incredible). When the server approached me, I asked for a takeaway menu because I was too embarrassed to eat there alone. He showed me a menu only in Khmer (which is fine, I have google translate) but I asked him to pick something for me since I didn’t know what would be a typical dish there. I said yes to whatever he suggested (mostly because I only understood one thing out of three), and when I got into my room I discovered I had fried frogs, some rice with garlic, and a fish salad with calamari, shrimps and something fried (looked like potatoes but I have no idea). Let me tell you, it was a lot, the portions were incredibly generous, but I would have loved to eat more. The frogs were super crispy and with this unnamed green spicy sauce that was really spicy but so good (bear in mind, I don’t eat spicy food). The rice had literally garlic chunks in it, it was super garlicky but it didn’t leave me a garlic breath or acid reflux at all. The salad was fresh and with some sort of sauce that made it even more interesting to eat. I have no idea what I put into my mouth, but I’m happy I did. Absolutely, 10/10 recommended. Also, if you’re white and western, ask them to pick something for you. Let them share with you their food. Be open to something new, you’ll be...

My group came during the Pchum Ben holiday. We had to wait a while to be seated and, throughout the dining time, had to continuously request glasses, water, and dipping sauce pans. The food itself did come out faster though.
I’m not sure if it’s because we came during the busy hours, but the food came out disappointing and milder than I expected of a barbecue spot.
It works as a casual dining spot, and the concept is nice. It’s worth checking out and evaluate the experience on your own. However, make sure you come on a non-holiday. They will turn away customers if...
Read moreHidden gem in Siem Reap! This local BBQ spot really impressed me — the meat was fresh and flavorful, perfectly marinated, and grilled right at the table on a traditional clay pan. The vegetables were crisp and clean, and the dipping sauce was full of flavor.
The staff were very friendly and attentive, always checking in and helping with the grill setup. Everything felt relaxed and welcoming, just like a true local dining experience.
Portions are generous, and the price is very affordable for the quality you get — definitely great value for money. Highly recommend if you want a delicious local-style BBQ with good service and a...
