I'm not staying here again, the rooms are definitely nice but the service is horrible, they simply pick up a lot of business because it's near the airport. If all you're looking for is a nice room, sure, stay here, but you're going to pay through your teeth for it, don't expect flexibility or good service from the front desk.
There was a mistake on my reservation, and ended up being downgraded to a smaller room even though I had to pay $50 more for a change fee. In addition to that, i called early in the morning and asked if I could check in early and they said they would arrange it and there was no mention of a check-in fee. I get to the front desk to check in and they charged me another $25 to check in early.
The hotel still got the same value. They got one night stay from a customer, and that was not enough for the hotel. They see an opportunity to add extra fees onto what happening.
I used to manage hotels years ago. Situations like this we would use our discretion to make a customer happy, given that they've been inconvenience because of a change fee in the downgraded room. However, not at this hotel, they simply go by the policy.
There was no additional cost of the hotel as the housekeeping staff would have to clean the room anyway, yet they found a way to charge an extra fee as a way of making extra revenue, the manager on duty said things have changed since the days in which I managed at hotels, I'm sorry nothing's changed here. This is just insensitive service and the hotel gouging you for something that should just be a courtesy if it's available.
Showing empathy to customers, treating people with respect, looking for a possible scenario or angle that might be in everyone's best interest is not something that changes with time.
Management took the company policy line with no sense of sensitivity to the circumstance or situation, nor did they demonstrate an ounce of empathy for the circumstances.
I said to the desk manager the only tool I have available is a Google review. Something I'd be inclined not to do, and she said not a problem so here we are.
Once again, a hotel close to the airport with nice rooms, and therefore service becomes somewhat irrelevant because people will choose to stay here because of proximity.
I rented conference rooms twice as well in the past and each time there was some type of service issue, so needless to say, after this experience today nickelling and diming a customer who had already had a challenge for $25 to check in for something that was already going to be cleaned anyway, it was just over the top.
Despite of the incidental services during the conferences, I was intending on using this place again. However, those plans are now officially cancelled.
This hotel seems to have policies that are not remotely in the favor of the customer, and what they mean by service is what's expected at all hotels. To be friendly, to say hi to someone when they walk in the door, I don't consider this service. I consider this standard. It's just how you treat people, it's when you really need service, when they have to go above and beyond normal that is where this hotel falls down fast.
Given that most people simply walk and grab the key, go to their room and leave are impressed with the rooms and the lobby and proximity to the airport and consider this a four star rating.
Also, if you have back issues, the beds here are not conducive to people with back issues. In my experience you might wake up feeling quite sore.
Again, if you want a nice room by all means., The rooms are definitely nice, however the fan does make a lot of noise, just recommend you find somewhere else at a cheaper price and you can get a similarly high quality room and maybe better service?
This hotel has all the nice packaging, and this is what people go for.
This hotel both benefits and suffers from the exact same thing, the proximity to the airport. The high volume of traffic guarantees them to fill their rooms, and no need to provide...

My friend and I are two young women and we were left stranded at the airport at 1:00 in the morning. We chose this hotel because it had a decent rating and was close to the hotel, when we came in there was a man standing at the desk and an employee behind the desk, they were chatting when we came in and looked like they knew each other. Right away the man standing at the desk started trying to chat us up asking if we wanted to go up to the hotel tub and have some drinks. My friend asked if he worked there and he said yes but it was his day off. Eventually he walked off (my friend said he followed another girl out) and we asked the employee if the man actually worked there. He said no, the guy was just drinking at the bar. This was extremely alarming and I asked the employee to not say our room number out loud in fear that the other man was still around and would hear it and follow us up. He did anyway.
He told me the cost of the room and I showed him the cost online which was different than the cost he told me, he still charged me full price but we were tired after a long day and just wanted to shower and sleep.
We had to ask him if there was another set of elevators away from the front and her directed us there. When we got to the room there was no dead bolt. At this point we were scared for our safety but it was 2:00 and we didn’t not want to leave the room in fear of the man calling someone to help him take advantage of us. So we barricaded the door.
When we went downstairs the next morning, we told the lady at the front desk what happened and she was nice and escalated the situation to her manager however her manager said there was nothing they could do as it was another guest (that made us fear for our lives) and not the staff. We explained that we were disappointed that the hotel did not have security and the man at the desk did not ask the person to leave us alone. The manager then became defensive saying that they don’t train their staff to get involved in situations like that for safety and that at the end of the day there was nothing wrong with our room. She said the best she could do for me was look into the situation and give me 10% off….(they still charged me the full cost).
I would say stay here at your own risk but it’s not worth it.
Edit: A MONTH LATER AND THEY CHARGED ME...
Read moreMy family and I booked 3 rooms at the hotel, 2 of which we paid for the 14 day Hotel Parking which offered 24 hour shuttle service and that was confirmed to us when we checked in. We booked another 3 rooms for the end of our trip. Check in was fine. The rooms were okay but the hallways were quite noisy in the mornings - bring earplugs if you want to sleep in. One of the rooms was in the affiliated hotel next door and my parents were placed in the floor below the pool which apparently is open 24 hours. Great for using it, not so great if you want to get sleep. All of this was fine, lesson learned, we figured will make sure we don't get that floor on the the return end of the trip.
The unacceptable part of our stay was that on the return end of our trip, we got in from Toronto at 11:30 at night. While waiting for the bags we called the hotel to arrange a shuttle only to be told that the shuttle stops at midnight. This caught us off guard as we'd been told it was 24 hour shuttle service and we informed the gentleman we spoke to of this; he responded, nope, it ends at midnight. So, I sent my wife, kids, and mom off to get the shuttle and my Dad and I waited for the bags. The first batch of bags came though and at 12:05 called again hoping to get a shuttle but were told no, it had stopped running. Again we told the gentleman we had been informed it was 24 hours and he said sorry, no, it stops at midnight.
We ended up taking 2 cabs back as I had to wait for a later flight because one of my bags had been delayed in Toronto.
We complained to the lady at the front desk the following morning and were informed that the shuttles do in fact stop running at midnight but the hotel will reimburse $15 cab fee to get you to the hotel if you book the 14 day park stay option (and we had purchased 2 of those as we had 2 cars). This was never mentioned to us once the night before - we were just told no shuttle option so basically get yourself to the hotel.
The hotel website advertises 24 hour shuttle service - IT DOES NOT OFFER THIS. If we had been told by the gentleman just to catch a cab and we'd be reimbursed, it would have not been an issue at all as we would have taken it in stride. As it was, we felt lied to and abandoned at the airport and cheated in to staying at hotel offering 24 hour shuttle service only 18...
