Lakeview Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Deer Lake

My wife and I stayed one night here on our way from Fogo Island Inn to Gros Morne. We dropped in for a room at 8pm (early June, 2022). I would highly recommend this B&B. Maggie MacDonald is a wonderful Innkeeper. Breakfast is at 8am and was amazing 2 egg, sausage and toast just perfect ! If we were ever to come by this way ever again we would for sure stay here. Deer Lake in early June....first season for traveling after Covid. There wasn't much for dinner options. Again we rolled into town at 8pm , on Sunday, 1st season after Covid. Pizza Delight was our only choice and the waitress ,who was ready to close up (9pm) was not happy to see us walk in at 8:30. we had our beer and asked our waitress to make our order to go. We took it back to the Inn and had it on the back deck. Maggie checked on us to make sure we didn't need anything (she had already showed us where the wine glasses were). Very dear!

Highly recommend staying here if you find yourself in Deer Lake We were off to Gros Morne...

My only complaint regarding this place, relative to doing a review, is that Trip Advisor doesn't allow me to give 6 Stars out of 5, because if ever there was a deserving B&B, and a deserving host, it's this place and host Margaret (Maggie).||Big house with many bedrooms, ALL of which have been re-modelled to have their own bathroom. All are spacious (even the "small" one), immaculate, and very convenient. Even that one thing that usually causes issues at places, a lack of power outlets, is well thought out there.||Maggie is unbelievable! She's no rookie at this, and it shows! A more gracious and accommodating host I've never met. Oh, and the breakfast she prepares.... ASSURES you that you will not leave for the day hungry.||If, by chance, you're looking for somewhere to stay in Deer Lake, perhaps as a base for visiting L'anse aux Meadows, or Gros Morne National Park, or other places in or around the region, I can't offer a higher recommendation than Lakeview Bed and Breakfast. Go stay with Maggie.... you'll be DELIGHTED...

Can’t say enough good about our stay at Lakeview Bed and Breakfast. Such a lovely place of rest. We were only there for 2 days, but would have loved to have stayed longer. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to make your stay comfortable and carefree. Breakfast is simple, but simply delicious and includes special touches like home made jams and buns. ||Margaret is such a sweetheart ❤️ Caring, friendly and fun. She’s also a wealth of knowledge and is able to fill you in on all the best things to see and do in the area and beyond. I wish she was my next door neighbour - I’m certain we’d be friends. ||One last little note ~ Mary Brown may have the best legs in town, but Margaret definitely has the best buns in town!! 😄 ||We highly recommend and look forward...
