Pizza Delight — Restaurant in Deer Lake

We arrived in Deer Lake around 8 PM on Jan. 7 and were in need of a great meal as we were on the road for the pass 10 nights. By the time we got our luggage and made our way to the vehicle and got yo Pizza Delight it was 830 and we were informed that they closed at 9. The girls were extremely busy so we wondered if we could order take out but preferred to sit and have a meal. They obliged, so we took a seat and ordered right away and after 20 minutes waiting and nearing closing we offered to take out our food so they could finish cleaning up and go home. Within the 20 minutes we waited for our meal, they put through 2 large take out orders and continued to do their end of the day duties. I was super surprised when we walked over to Pizza Delight from the Holiday Inn Express in Deer Lake. The food was delicious and prepared thoughtfully. We (2 adults) ordered the 15' Broadway pizza - pepperoni, ground sausage, red onion, Mushroom, green pepper, tomato. The chicken cranberry walnut salad and small order of the donair roll ups (they charged us for 6 and sent out 8!). All were spectacular. Pizza was sky high with toppings and salad was beautiful and delicious. My mom was over the moon with the donair roll ups - and really, what's not to love?! We had enough food for leftover dinner in our hotel kitchenette the next day - all for $80 (tax and generous tip in). We also had two large Ricards Red Draft beers as well. Great value! Located in Deer Lake, this Pizza Delight provides a cozy, typical diner atmosphere. It had a nice homey ambiance and very friendly and attentive staff members. They offer take-out deals and lots of dine-in tables to be seated at.

During our experience, we ordered the Donair pinwheels as an appetizer. The large portion was generous enough to enjoy not only during the meal but also as a tasty snack for the following day. The pinwheels and the sauce was still tasty the next day! For entrees, we ordered the signature ultimate pizza along with the seafood pasta, which came accompanied by a serving of garlic bread. Both entrees were delicious and large enough to provide leftovers for later!
