I stayed at the Sleep Inn Regina East for the night of July 4th, 2025. When I arrived, I was greeted by a very welcoming staff member who proceeded to check me in. Check-in went smoothly and I was able to get to my room very quickly. I booked a room with one king bed and I had asked to be on the top floor near the stairs. I ended up receiving a room on the top floor, but it was not near the stairs as requested.||The large room had a king bed with five pillows, a mini refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee-maker, a medium-sized television with a remote, a comfy chair, a sofa, a coffee table, as well as a desk with an office chair. I found that the room had a funny smell, as well as the mini-fridge. At first, I thought it was just me after a long days drive, but it was the room and fridge. I also found the room was very dark, even with all of the lights on. However, the room was very clean and that was the main thing.||The clean medium-sized bathroom had a sink and a shower, and came with two sets of towels and a bar of soap. The sink had a bottle of lotion attached to the wall and the shower had bottles of shampoo and conditioner attached to the wall. I had some problems when taking a shower. I found that the hot and cold water were reversed, so when I turned it to hot, it was freezing cold, but when I turned it to cold, I burned my hand in the scalding water. I have never had that happen before. When I finally got the temperature correct and started with my shower, I found that the drain was plugged and that the tub was filling up with water. Plus there was no handle to hold on to, so it made for a very dangerous situation.||I had some breakfast in the morning. It is pretty basic, with juice, coffee, cold cereal, toast, muffins, back (Canadian) bacon, make your own pancakes, yogurt and scrambled eggs. The area was very clean and I enjoyed what I had selected.||Overall, I was a little bit disappointed with my stay at the Sleep Inn Regina East. While the room was clean, the odd smell that emanated from the room and the mini-fridge, as well as the reversed water in the shower and clogged drain, put a damper to the start of my vacation. I left a note about the water in the room, and told the staff member at check-out in hopes that no one else would get a cold shower in that room. I have a reservation for the same hotel on my way back, so I hope I get a...
Read moreI can't say enough about this place. The reservation was made on line through Choice Hotel and I wasn't sure what to expect when I checked in. I drove by the place as my car GPS took me to a different location however upon phoning the hotel I spoke to Dave at the front desk and he was courteous, polite and gave me details instruction on how to get there. Upon arrival I was impressed from the moment I walked through the front door. The place looked cleaned and was tastefully decorated. Bright and breezy yet warm and welcoming. The only elevator was a little slow however the overall experience I had made that irrelevant. The elevator, foyer and hallway to my room was cleaned and well maintain. Upon entering my room I was impressed everywhere I looked. Plenty of lights, nicely appointed furniture and the beds were inviting after a long day of travel. The bathroom was bright and cleaned. Couldn't find even a sign of dust anywhere. Great job housekeeping. They had a pool and hot tub which I took full advantage of after having a bit to eat at the Boston Pizza located just outside the front doors of the hotel. In the morning I came down and took advantage of the free breakfast that came with the room. Impressed I was after spending the last 4 nights in 4 different hotels that offered a free breakfast. There were literally hot items including eggs, sausage and bacon. The waitress Laura was cheerful and friendly which was also a very welcome changed from my other experiences. Sherylene at the front desk was another individual that made my stay complete. Upon checkout she wished me safe travels and welcomed me back if ever I was in the area again. No fears there as I will not only stop by again but will recommend this place to anyone I know travelling to Regina or passing through. Having over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry I give this place a +10 rating. Keep it up and you should all be proud to work at such a great place. I hope they pay you well for you make the hotel an exceptionally...
Read moreI booked for 2 nights, Friday November 8/24 and Saturday 9/24..checked in, stayed in room 219 second floor, as the building got quiet.. it sounded like children running till the wee hours of the morning.. Saturday I filled the bathtub with Ebson salts and grabbed my phone, got undressed, and the water was not filling up the tub. Shut water off checked plug.. took a quick phone call.. came back water all gone. So decided to go for a swim, came out of the water, grabbed a clean towel.. opened it up.. old poop stain on towel threw it aside and grabbed another one? Seriously out of 6 towels all had stains, found one that didn’t walked over to the hot tub, out of order? Filled like a bucket full of dirty water..Then I looked at the sides of the pool? Human grease, I left, later that night the running sounds was getting louder so I called the front desk, made a complaint.. 30 minutes later I asked them to move us to a different room. So now we are in 305… used toilet and you can’t flush the lever wouldn’t budge, my partner used a dolly to transport our belongings.. he got caught up in the up and down the elevator would not go up to the top floor, several attempts later he got off Wes stated the pounding sound is coming from the elevator not children.. spoke to management, of course the comment was no one else has complained? Seriously? I got on elevator to leave building and it was pounding pretty hard.. the pool area is dirty and poop stained towels? That’s just wrong. I am 62 and my partner is 60.. plenty of OTHER hotels to choose from.. I took the back of the toilet off so I could flush.. whoever tried to fix it in my opinion doesn’t have a clue .. it’s a toilet… embarrass your customers...
