Western Pizza — Restaurant in Edenwold No. 158

Have never had a bad thing to say about Western pizza ever, until yesterday. Ordered a 10inch pizza, dry ribs and ceasar salad for pick up. They told me 30-40 mins. I got there at 35 minutes and tried to pay with a gift card. I was not aware Emerald Park had different gift cards than in the city, and the host let me know that. She also couldn't have been more displeased with having to call a different Western Pizza to confirm my order. After 10 minutes of trying to pay, all is said and done and she tells me my food still isn't ready and will be another 5 mins. (I can however see 2 bags up on the counter ready to be picked up). 2 male cooks were refilling their pop - (Yes of course they deserve breaks) but I don't think anyone else was in the kitchen.

I went outside to my vehicle for another 8 mins or so, walked back inside and was walked by 5 different times by the same 4 staff members and wasn't even acknowledged. I saw a manager go to the back and I believe saw him put my pizza in the box as he came out right after, gave me my food (which did include the 2 bagged items that had been sitting there for easily 20 minutes already). I also know it was my food because there was only 5 other people in the entire restaurant.

Got home. The pizza was delicious - as it always is. The dry ribs were overcooked and hardly even warm at this point. I wish I could have taken a picture because they were leaning towards a shade of black instead of brown, and the ceasar salad was soggy.

A very disappointing meal. Will not be back to...

1 star is generous. If i could give zero stars i would. Absolute worst experience i have ever had in a restaurant. We were here with a team of about 30 people, with almost no other people in the restaurant. It was not busy what so ever, not to mention we called weeks in advance and they knew we were coming.It took almost 2 hours to actually get everyone’s drinks out AND even order our food after that. Once food started coming out, it again took almost an hour for everyone to even get their food, with one family not ever getting their food until it was put in takeout containers when it was time leave. The food when it came out was flavourless. To top off a horrible experience, the manager was useless and the worst I’ve ever seen. Not once did she step in the help the server, she stood in the corner or hid in the back doing absolutely nothing. Our server was nice but was obviously unable to handle a group this size on his own. I'd never eat here. We had a large group of kids and parents from our sports team. They served a buffet meal using a mobile food cart. These carts are equipped with heating lights and internal burners to keep the food hot. They told us this cart wasn't working. As a result our food was cold. Why would they choose to serve food to customers when they know this food cart was broken down. Buffet food is required to be kept at 140 degrees for safety. I was very worried that the kids and parents would become sick. The food inspectors would have never allowed this to happen. We also ran out of food. Refilling the cart started to be done after the meal was all but over. The tossed salad had no dressing. We asked for dressing but none ever showed up. We ended up leaving hungry.
