We rented a hut in mid April for an incredibly affordable price. We were in what I think is off season, as there was only one other family staying in the other huts. The huts are really pretty and nicely situated, with a patio area with seating outside each hut. The huts are heated and equipped with lights, with a welcoming scent of fresh cedar boards. Inside was a bunk bed, one with a double mattress and twin on the top, with more than enough fresh clean bedding. I think we only paid around $85 for the night which was incredible. The private washrooms and private showers are modern, with additional washrooms at a lower level of the resort. The showers have hot water and were clean and well equipped, each protected with a door lock code. We even saw Sea Otters when we went for a walk to the close by dock, and in the morning the trees had beautiful birds singing. A very pleasant stay and likely to rent again on our next Port...
Read moreThe Creekside (Cottonwood) cottage is spacious and bright. Very comfortable. As there is little to do in the evenings it would be nice to have a better cable package. Very quiet at night, but construction behind the property made it unbearable to be there in the daytime, and management did not respond to my concerns about the noise. Hopefully that construction will be over soon. Bring a portable grill and plenty of your own groceries, as many businesses in town are closed because of staffing issues and the local store has almost nothing. Also bring your own utensils and cooking surface as the cottage does not have this. Although the cottage does not have a view it is super close to the wharf and the pub. We took our chairs out to the roadside to chat with whoever happened to be there and just watch people. Overall a nice stay, but I'd book the cottages by the...
Read moreWhile I was expecting a good day on the ocean, our charter turned into a truly fantastic day, one which will be forever etched in my memory. I don’t think Scott could have done anything more to make us feel special and ensure a fabulous day. We felt like VIPs from start to finish. Our Captain and guide, Neil, was the perfect fit for us: knowledgeable, informative, experienced, calm and reassuring. He patiently taught me how to reel in the catch, which included halibut, cod and salmon, and handled the waters beautifully. Ended up with an ideal number of crabs that they packaged perfectly for us, together with the haul of fish. While other boats around us weren’t as lucky with their haul, we ended our day with more than expected. Would not only recommend them, but would...
