Two-star hotel with a five-star attitude — all thanks to the front desk. We watched two staff members handle a busy Sunday night with patience and professionalism, even with a few challenging guests. One of them stood out so much, I found myself commending her — and I grew up in service, so I don’t say that lightly. The hotel itself isn’t fancy — there’s a shared microwave in the lobby, which is simple but comfortable. On-site, you’ve got a pizza place, a bar at one end, and a convenience store (a bit pricey, but it’s got the basics). An Uber driver actually commended us for choosing this place — and after our stay, I can see why. The rooms are immaculately clean, the TV has all the channels you need, and the bathrooms are spacious. We also noticed fresh tile in there, which tells me they’re reinvesting in the place — not just pocketing profits. It’s our last night here, and what really sets this place apart is the location, the convenience, and above all, the standout service. All of it comes together to lift this well beyond its two-star rating. Seemed to be popular with senior groups, families and sport teams. Breakfast was included and the pet fee was cheaper than any other hotel in the airport area.

It's convenient for its location close to the airport. If you have an early flight or arrives late at night in the city, it's an ok option for a night. The building is old, so the room had a musky smell and was pretty dark. But at least it was clean and spacious. The bathroom was also big. I was on the second floor, and there's no elevator, so if you have luggage, beware. The shuttles to and from the airport seems to run mostly on time. The bus itself is quite old as well, but it's a short ride. The complimentary breakfast was simple, not a lot of options available, but it was tastier than expected. The staff I met wasn't particularly friendly, but got the job done. I was expecting more from it considering the price I paid, but if you get a deal, it might be worth it.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Uncomfortable bed. Small pillows. 3rd world water pressure. Decades-old toilet. Very loud location with unruly bar late into evening - terrible place to sleep before flying away for vacation. Shuttle for pickup at the airport stopped at “F1” post for 10 seconds and just left - 2x in a row over 45 minutes while waiting to be picked up. We were told to wait at “F3” repeatedly by hotel reception with a piece of paper confirming this location. Took a $25 taxi back to the hotel and advised front reception of the poor service. Advised they were not authorized to refund taxi and no manager available to speak to. Stay here at your own risk!

My husband, daughter and I stayed for 1 night. When we got there, we asked for an early check in which they were able to accommodate. The 2 ladies working the front desk we INCREDIBLE! Super lovely, friendly and helpful. After a couple hours the power went out ( not the hotels fault ) HOWEVER, the convenience store attached and the restaurant closed early ( understandable) but because they closed, there was nothing. There were 2 vending machines but that was expensive. We were quite a way from any other store. That same evening I called down to see if and when there was breakfast. I was told 6. So we planned our morning around then. The next day we went down for breakfast at 630 but it was closed. When I went to talk to ask the front desk staff when the breakfast opened she snapped on me "it opens at 630!" ( it was as though she was asked lots and me asking was the icing on the cake ) I said replied with "oh I was told 6" ( yes I didn't have a slight attitude as I don't think it was appropriate customer service attitude when I asked her my question ) She then very rudely snapped on me "no one would tell you 6!!" I then yelled back "do not talk to me like that" she clearly didn't like that as she didn't say a damn word after. This lady was ridiculously rude. I couldn't believe how she was talking with customers. An hour later, we got on the shuttle ( where the driver was eating an apple and threw it out the bus door towards the front of the hotel ).

The visit started out great but then turned into...

When we first pulled up in the shuttle (which the driver allowed to be over crowded and resulted in some strangers elbow being shoved into my crotch the entire time) my immediate thought was oh no…. But looks can be deceiving so I tried to stay open minded. Check in was simple, it’s a two story hotel so stairs it was to the upper floor (I only had a carry on, no issue for me). The room does not look like the pictures in the slightest, the building is clearly very old. With the old age came the strong musty smell, everything looked clean though until I got into the bed. I pulled the sheets back and was met with not 1 or 2 hairs but enough that it was clear the bedding had not been changed. Oh well, I slept in the other one and it was fine. The employees at reception were a hit or miss, some were nice and some seemed bothered to be there. One employee who I think was a maintenance guy was going off the hook to the lady behind the desk about another employee who he found out was getting paid more than him, while I awkwardly stood there waiting to be helped. The lady behind the desk looked desperate to get out of that conversation and gladly helped me as soon as she could though. There was confusion about the shuttles (you have to book it, you don’t have to book it, it runs every half hour), I got a different answer each time. It’s ok though I got to the airport and back when needed. All in all, you’re getting what you pay for, and that’s fine if you’re looking for a more inexpensive option near...

We booked a suite and at check in were told we were in a standard double room and that I couldn't possibly have booked a suite because they don't have many of those. I showed my reservation and the response after she read it was "how did you book this reservation?" I told her directly through Choice. Then I was asked "how many people are in your room". I answered her, but didn't understand what difference that made. I told her I would be ok with a standard room as long as I wasn't charged the suite rate. She said she could not adjust the pricing with manager approval and that there was no manager available. The entire check in process was absolutely frustrating. There was a shift change at the check in desk while we were waiting for our room and 2 clerks replaced one. What we overheard was that the clerk that finished her shift gave our room to someone else. The two of them spent a lot of time complaining about her to each other. We spent a sleepless night in our standard room where we heard all kinds of noises from the hallway and minifridge. In the morning when I checked out I asked the clerk why we didn't get the suite that I had booked and the response I got was "I only work her part time and can't help you with that. You need to speak to a manager, but there isn't one on duty." Later on I was contacted by a manager and offered a free night stay if I ever return. Insert...
