One of the worst experiences I've ever had with getting food! Several of the ordering tablets did not work, so it took time to find a table with good ones. After that, it only took part of our order, so we had to order twice. Then, the food was not what we ordered for one order and only partially correct for the other order. Plus, we were told only after waiting to be seated that the dishwasher was broken so they could not serve any drinks they would have to make, only canned or bottled drinks were available.
When we showed the emanager, she tried to blame us! She literally said the tablets don't have issues, so we had to have messed up on ordering and didn't review it correctly before paying. When I tried to show her, she said she didn't have time for that (which we had to wait 20 minutes for her to arrive because we were told that she was working "at a different place" at the moment).
We just requested a refund at that point and she said they would only refund the one item that was completely incorrect (This was the cheeseburger and onion rings I ordered but instead, I received some other hamburger with incorrect condiments and fries).
I would have eaten it, but the meat looked like it had a bite from it, and the workers admitted that it went to the incorrect table first before they brought it to us but they tried reassuring us that no one bit the burger. Yet, they also admitted that they left the food with the other table unattended and went back to get it only after the table called them to return the food because they discovered it was the wrong order....so they really had no idea if the previous people bit the burger meat or not!
As for the chicken salad (which had no chicken), they made us wait for them to bring out some chicken separately, and she said now that order is complete, so we won't refund that. We didn't want to argue, so we just accepted the chicken salad, got a refund for the cheeseburger meal , and never received our drink or a refund for it. Apparently, we did not make it clear that we ordered a drink too, and it was not showing on the receipt. When we asked to see the receipt, we were informed that the waitress already "discarded it." The chicken salad was mediocre at best, but the chicken was low quality meat, and it had iceberg lettuce and other subpar ingredients. Quite disappointing for...
Read moreOkay so I don’t write reviews, and I am the type of person that usually brushes things off but this was ridiculous. We sit down and we are having issues online with the menu, so my mom orders a latte. We tell the server and he says that he has never seen and asking if we paid for the latte. After we said yes, he kept telling us to pay for it AGAIN after we were already charged. We then say her card was already charged so he goes back to check in the kitchen. He starts blowing up out of the blue, and says that we need to be nicer because it’s “canada” when all my mom was doing was expressing that she’s not paying for a second coffee. He comes back with the latte, holding onto it not giving it to my mom saying that we said “coffee” not “latte” (which we did) and then continued to go back and forth. I then say “okay, it’s all good now we have the latte thank you.” Now i work in a restaurant if you are relying on what the customer is saying rather than checking on the actual table number assigned then that’s a whole different issue. He then proceeds to tell us that he was RECORDING us on his phone, and he will prove that we said coffee. What???? Mind you, he was being very loud and yelling this entire time. He then proceeds to tell us to leave after us just sitting there in shock and that he’s grabbing his manager (which he also lied about). At this point, i am completely shocked that a server can treat my mom and i with SUCH disrespect. After waiting for 10 minutes without any updates I see a server walk past my table and all i say is “Hi” and he proceeds to say “you deal with him”. I then stand waiting for the manager until 20 mins later a server comes up to me asking me what happened. I tell him and ask where the manager is, he says he’s not coming?!?! I then at this point very fed up and ask him to grab him which he then says will take a while because he owns 7 businesses at the airport. This whole restaurant needs to do better, get way better staff and have a meeting about customer service because screaming and criticizing whether a customer said “latte” or “coffee” and RECORDING them? is a huge deal. And I get that the manager is busy, but is clearly not prioritizing customers because now it’s been over an hour, this is really sad. So my opinion...
Read moreNot the best of experiences. I was catching a connecting flight from Calgary. I myself work in the restaurant industry, although I try to refrain from doing so, I can be very picky and bias. When I came to this bar it was very visually appealing. Ipads to order, individual outlets to charge your electronics, well kept bar, and the pictures in the menu looked amazing. I ordered the grilled chicken burger, with fries. The meal came to $20. Slightly overpriced, but being in the airport I didn't expect much else. The presentation wasnt anything worth presenting. It looked like they had slapped everything together and threw it on the plate. The burger bun was thin and dry. The chicken breast was overcooked. The fries were too done, and I ended up finding a hair in one. On top of that, the employees were playing on their phones. Honestly, not a problem for me. Until I had seen the same employee turn to flip a burger, after sending a text... without washing their hands. Attempting to eat as much as I could, I was unable to finish because I was so turned off by the dish. I explained what had happened to Luke (who I believe was the Supervisor on Duty). Their policy and his authority couldn't allow me a refund. However, he made it a thing to pack us a travel package of snacks and drinks for our flight; his way of making up for it.
