update: sorry I tried the rice with chicken curry. very bland although it did have some heat. The rice was completely unseasoned. there was no flavor whatsoever. I ended up tossing out half of it and made a cup of instant noodles instead. The staff are still great, and their pizza or burgers are probably good but I look for more Asian and Middle Eastern foods to try; what I've tried so far has really lacked any kind of flavor. I think this will be the last time I visit this restaurant. I wish them the best throughout the pandemic, and hope they have a profitable year.
orig: I tried the chicken fried rice and felt it lacked flavor. The prices are a fair and the staff are very friendly. if I stay at the Quality inn again, I will want to try their chickpea curry with rice. there's a great selection of items on their menu, including all day breakfast. the full of customers seems fairly consistent so I'm sure the lack of flavor is just a difference in expectation on my part. canned pop for $2.39 seems to be a little on the high side. if you're getting takeout you might want to buy your...
Read morePros: Food was fairly good.
Cons: Can not order online for delivery.(it's 2018, this should not be an issue). Called, and took 20mins to order, due to person over phone did not understand or speak English and kept repeating everything, as well as asking another person in the background the questions i asked. Did they not work there or was it thier 1st day. Either way, should not be answering the phone, much less taking orders You are an airport location restaurant. How can you NOT exchange (at least)American currency. It's wrong to have someone pay the same when the exchange clearly differs (ie. $20c is not the same as $20us or much less $20Bbd) How can give one charge over the phone and when the food arrives it's a totally different one,and the explanation is there's a service charge. Lma, really. Proper business is to give the total price from the beginning. How do you expect someone to know there is an additional fee. Take the extra out of the US currency you recvd. Realistically you were paid more...
Read moreGood little place by the airport. Stayed in the Quality Inn while in Toronto and likely never would have found this place except it was attached to the lobby. Great find! Attentive, friendly staff who seemed genuinely eager to please. The one gentleman noticed I sat by one of the TVs playing a hockey game and bricked my Oilers shirt and asked if he could change from the Montreal game to the Edmonton one.
The atmosphere reminds me of a 80s diner - there are a few video games and a claw/toy machine, a few tvs playing some sports and food made to order.
The personal pizza was tasty, fries appeared to be hand cut, but the Jerk/Carribean wings were the absolute bomb! Enough spice to satisfy the spice lover in me but not so much to cause discomfort or heartburn. Good portion sizes, left me very satisfied.
Good selection of food, drinks and even some desserts. I would eat here again - even if I wasn’t staying at the hotel… local airport workers probably know about this place and if they don’t,...
