Let's start with the good, the rooms are newly furnished, they are fresh and clean, with ample space, the view is null as its just patches of land next door or the parking lot in front of the hotel, depending on your room assigned. There's breakfast included but the cleanliness is clearly lacking, they are understaffed, I feel for the restaurant staff. There is ample parking space as it is a joint location for 2 hotels. There's an indoor pool and gym also shared by both establishments. Then comes the bad, which comes to the checkin agents at reception (also shared through a tunnel between two sides ) The attitude of the checkin agent was appaling, first of all she didn't even mention or recognize any loyalty status and as requeted via email for higher rooms it wasn't assigned as such, as well as late check out that was requested months before via email to ensure our rooms were available at least 1 hour later to normal 11am check out. Usually the day of check in, we can be given the or not but not have to rush in the morning to call or come down to lobby to see if they feel like giving us the late checkout or not, the policy is one thing, the way they execute it, and the attitude is the problem. At first, she said, I see you have 2 rooms so I can only extend your late check out for 1 room, what should we do with the others? Kick them out? At the end, they gave it to us, but it seemed like we were asking for an executive suite upgrade of thousands of dollars' worth of value. Insane, and what a shame. On the second day we we're going to extend our key cards, as instructed at 11am, they checked us out?! which was funny at first but quickly corrected. So, with these incidents you will see that they do have a lot of their "own" rules apart from the IHG ones which as a higher tier member having stayed in many properties have never encountered anywhere else in the world.

A very good option if you're in the Niagara Falls area and don't want to stay in the heart of the pricey and crowded tourist areas. It's about a 15-minute drive to most places, including the falls/Clifton Hill area, many of the wineries in the NOTL area, and some of the eateries in St. Catherines. The hotel is also conveniently located about 5 mins away from the Niagara outlet mall. As mentioned in other reviews, all interactions we had with the members of staff were positive. Everyone working there was friendly, polite, and helpful. The hotel was also clean and fairly new. We were traveling with two younger children, so the fact that the rooms are equipped with a microwave and mini fridge was very helpful. Like most Holiday Inn locations (or other similar chains), expect the decor and amenities to be fairly no frills. You're not paying for the fancy stuff here! The hotel also serves complimentary hot breakfast every morning, which was great. They had plenty of options at the buffet, including toast, bagels, pancakes, cinnamon buns, and muffins, as well as eggs and bacon. They also had yogurt, milk, juice, and coffee. The place was kept clean and tidy, with members of the staff replenishing items at regular intervals. Outdoor parking is available at no charge for guests. Other than breakfast, there's no restaurant on site, but there are a couple of restaurants down the road or within a short drive.

The hotel is very clean, the lobby is open and spacious and Derrick at the front desk was just awesome to deal with, he even got our room ready earlier than check in because upon arrival I had been awake for 36 hours. Derrick was very compassionate and understanding. The pool was spotless and welcoming, the fitness room was a little sparse, but had what was needed. The hotel offers laundry, with ample machines, $2 a wash, $1:50 a dry. Bring your own detergent. We were on the fifth floor and our room was quiet, almost. The AC unit was a bit noisy, but we were in control of that. The hotel is centrally located to many attractions and has instant access to the freeway to Toronto. We were 12 minutes from the falls and found the location of the hotel ideal for daily trips. Breakfast was served daily on our stay and the coffee was hot and kept fresh. Breakfast consisted of eggs, scrambled or cheesy omelet, bacon one day sausage the next and either beans or hash brown potatoes alternating. There was plenty of fruit, muffins, yogurt, bagels, English muffins as well as juices and milk. My wife and I absolutely loved our 7 day stay with the friendly staff and ample amenities really rounding out the experience. Thank you for making our first stay in Ontario so comfortable and convenient.

This is our family’s second trip to Niagara Falls this year and we decided to book at Holiday Inn Express just outside of Niagara Falls. We were greeted to a modern and clean family-friendly hotel and got checked in a little early to check out our rooms, and the rooms were so clean and well-maintained! Even though it was outside the main tourist area, it’s only a 10 minute drive down Highway 420 to the falls, and the Outlet Collection at Niagara is right across the highway!

We booked 2 rooms with 2 queen beds and each of them was neat and tidy for our stay. While the TVs weren’t smart TVs, they offered cable television if you wanted to watch some entertainment in your room. The bathrooms include a nice and clean walk-in shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers included. Hand soap and body lotion was also included in dispensers beside the sink which is a nice change from separate toiletries. My dad forgot to pack a toothbrush and comb, but I love that they offer complementary standard toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving cream, razor, and comb) if you forgot to pack any with a call to the front desk who were super friendly during our stay (Jenna helped us out with getting our missing toiletries)! I appreciate that the hotel is also pet-friendly as well! (Pets that are under 75lbs are allowed and there’s a small extra charge per stay). Although we didn’t bring our dog this trip, it’s a great choice for those travelling with their furry friends! Complimentary breakfast is included with your stay which includes quite a few choices to eat, from fruits, pancakes, eggs, bacon, yogurt, cereals and more! Parking is also included and there are lots of parking spots to choose in the lot.

Overall, we were very pleased and happy with our experience at Holiday Inn! If you don’t mind a little bit of extra commuting to the falls, combined with great value and a clean hotel, definitely choose to stay here! We will be looking forward to our next trip back here whenever we’re back in the...

Wonderful stay. Nice place. I’d be lying if I said otherwise. The only thing that would have made it better for our stay is a family of four with two teenagers would have been two queen size beds, possibly…. The suite is very nice as is the hotel, don’t get me wrong. But it just has a king size bed and although they say the room sleeps four, it does, but the sofa bed sleeps only one teen comfortably. |Nice, clean, quiet newer hotel with great staff. |My compliments to the house keepers. Seemed like we were serviced everyday of our stay. |Front desk staff were very nice and helpful with restaurant suggestions and attractions information. The staff member from NOTL was very outgoing with local information about places to eat and things to do. |Everyone is nice here. |I thought the breakfast was kinda plain Jane. |Nothing really out of the ordinary, but certainly glad it was included. They also have some side dish food they put out in the evening early in the week with soft drinks which adds to the stay. Pool is small, but nice. | Nice they have a shower at the pool area. |A hot tub would have made it nicer in the pool area…|The two room suite is nice compared to the typical one room you normally get at a lot of hotels. And the location is good if you’re going to the Falls and NOTL. Away from the frenzy at the Falls and not far from NOTL. |They did have a lounge chair in the room that can be made into a makeshift bed for a teen ; )|Outdoor patio with grills in the back and an exercise room. You won’t be disappointed here. Maybe it’s worth an...
