What a special unique place to stay. |I am not sure where to start on our stay here. I will try my best to hopefully hit the points to help anyone that is looking for a great place to stay in picton. |Cribs on main is directly on main street in picton. Short walking distance to quite a few restaurants for most tastes and budgets. We did a short 9 min walk to angry birds for chicken. Great food which I will do on another review.|Check in is done via codes for entrance and into rooms. New for wife and I but truly was no issue at all. Even for us seniors. Parking was surprising spacious. Spots gave us plenty of room to park without worrying about dings with cars parked 2 inches away. This place is all about those type of small things amounting to a great stay. Room was spotless. I mean spotless. We stayed at the back part of hotel facing the parking lot. Which was quiet. |Room had so many small touches. French coffe press, 75 inch tv( i know not small touch), soft towels, great soaps, unique lighting. They have a lovely book on table that explains everything in detail on how to use everytjing from lights to a/c. I don't think they missed a thing on helping you enjoy your stay. They even had some lovely flowers in a small vase. Beds were extremely comfortable. Bedding was well chosen. Very comfortable. |If you would ask me one thing they could have done better I would be speechless. We felt they did not miss one thing. A to Z. Nailed it. |I did have to communicate with them via email before my stay because of my mistake and they were great to deal with. I should not have been surprised that they put as much into their hotel as they did responding to me. |It was the 35th wedding anniversary for my wife and me. We were hoping for great places to stay on our reminiscing trip back home to Ontario and Quebec. This place was exactly...
Read moreI cannot say enough about my stay at Cribs on Main. Last minute, I needed somewhere to stay close to the Picton Hospital (where my mother was transferred to). The proximity is about a few minutes drive, so this was ideal (not entirely sure what to expect).
After booking through their website, I received a call from the owner Michael whom I cannot say enough about. His thoroughness with parking, entry, etc was above and beyond.
Upon getting to the room I was in awe — I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years and the room was among the best ever. The cleanliness, attention to details, snacks, fridge, the shower (love!). This was exactly the type of place you want to come back to (especially after a very trying time).
I had only booked one night at the time because I wasn’t sure how long we’d be in Picton and Michael was beyond accommodating when I requested (and hoped!) I could extend the stay.
My mom was eventually moved to hospice (out of Picton), but Michael, you, your team and your accommodations made one of the most difficult times of my life a little bit more bearable and I cannot thank you enough.
Without question I would recommend staying here — regardless of the reason (I hope it’s not for mine …) but you will not be disappointed. Thank you again...
Read moreWe had a last minute trip to Picton and were so lucky to come across Cribs on Main. When we arrived we were told we were the very first guests of this brand new "hotel". Upon arrival we were met in the parking lot (behind the building and 2 steps away from the entrance) and escorted to our suite. The parking area is well it and seems very safe. The entryway was also well it. There is an elevator, it is slow, but there is one if needed. We took the stairs. The hallway is bright and nicely decorated. The room lock is easy to manage. The owner of the property also stopped by to introduce himself and he left his contact info with us in case of emergency. Very thoughtful and luckily we did not need him! The room was beautiful! Very modern decor. LOVED the heated bathroom floor. The shower was huge- there was a lovely rainfall type shower head and a second detachable wand which was great. The king sized bed was comfy and so were the big pillows. We looked right out on Main street and the view is pleasant! Loved the room darkening curtains- we slept in the next morning which is something we don't do! There is dining and shopping within a few steps of exiting the building. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and pleasant. We will definitely stay there again if we are...
