Here in Picton and looked like this place was decent based on the reviews, so decided to head over with my buddy to check out the hype on 'the best subs in the county'. I guess everyone on here either has never left Picton or their yardstick for a good sub is whether or not it is physically digestible. Watching them rip open a pack of discount cold cuts as I noticed the meat slicer collecting dust, then pulling the ready crisp bacon out of the microwave... I had seen enough. Went here after seeing all the reviews. We're from out of town and wanted to like it but cant say we did. The bread itself was fine. The veg is fresh and the lettuce is very thinly sliced which was nice but the meat was just sad. I ordered the club. It had two tiny pieces of bacon, one slice of lunch meat and one slice of cheese. A local staple...a true local tho. Been going there since the beginning when my grandparents took me the first time. Then into my teens (90s) best part of town...when there used to be a arcade next to them. Turkey bacon is my goto. When you walk in and the owners (who are the best) already start making your sub.
