We came into town somewhat late and noticed Coaches was one of the few places open. Good place to watch sports. The service was great, the server was friendly and honest with her recommendation. I would go back for drinks. Unfortunately, the food was not what we were expecting and was subpar. The bruschetta bread appeared to be warmed up garlic bread that was still soft. The lobster roll was more like seafood salad and there wasn't much lobster. The beef donair was interesting; I didn't taste any donair sauce/sweet sauce, the meat was interesting as well.

Friday night dinner for family of four with two tweens. Clean, open concept, nicely renovated space. Was a little noisy, nothing to absorb sounds in the decor, made it a little difficult to have conversation. Otherwise, nice casual restaurant. Two servers only, but they were efficient and friendly. Still had a smile for us even though they were super busy. We tried the fish and chips, chicken penne and chicken cordon bleu. Not fancy food, but very generous portions. One entree easily fed two. Would recommend for easy casual pub food.

Cute back patio, but food was awful. The spinach dip was delicious, but .. The wrap was swimming in soupy sauce, and they forgot the bacon (which is crumble not strips, not defined in the menu). The French onion soup I couldn't eat. It taste like kraft plastic single slices, with a chunk of mushy soggy bread (not crutons) and watered down broth with not much flavor. The onions were the only okay part.

The WORST service I have ever had. My grandmother and I came here for lunch the other day as she has always had great experiences here, and sat in the front room; which - although outdated - was quite clean and charming. The server, however, asked for our order while she was dropping off the menus, before we had had a chance to look. I explained that we would take a couple of minutes deciding, and we didn't see her at our table for the following half hour. We watched her serve the other two tables in our vicinity, completely ignoring us, and, finally, I had to go back to the bar to place our order because she obviously wasn't interested in coming to our table. I found her reading a menu in the back and had to say "excuse me" a couple of times to catch her attention. She looked startled, and came to our table a few minutes later to apologize and offer a refill on my grandmother's drink. I would have been perfectly willing to understand, having worked in the service industry myself as a student and therefore knowing that after a lunch rush everything gets a bit confusing, but apparently she was not yet finished proving her workplace's inadequacy when serving customers. We received our chicken clubs twenty minutes later which were clearly put together very hastily, and not even halfway through our meal she approached us to ask whether we would like dessert or the bill. I was too surprised to reply, so my grandmother answered that we would like the bill, and she had us use the debit machine while we were eating. I figured that the server must have been new and took some pity on her, but my grandmother assured me that she has seen her plenty of times before in the restaurant; not to mention the fact that she did not seem to have any problem serving the other tables. The busser, clearly confused, even came out to clean our table as we were now the only ones left in the front room, and smiled apologetically when she saw that we were, indeed, still eating. We thankfully did not see our server again afterwards. The only positive aspects to our experience were the fries and the clean environment, but this was certainly not compensation for the rest. We will NOT be eating here again despite my grandmother's status as a regular customer, and certainly should have left while we...

Writing this while waiting on the bill. The server is lovely. The food is massively disappointing. Maybe have a drink here but I wouldn't ever order food here. Truth be told we won't be back. Save your money. Plenty of better places to eat. Garlic Parm wings came out plain. No sauce. We were told they put garlic and Parm in a saucepan on the stove rather than an actual sauce. The wings were dry as a bone and maybe had a salt on them. The turkey Swiss melt was cold. Melt implies heat would be applied. The soup was good. It's too bad really. Again the server was great. Kitchen...

Local hangout: After years (decades?) of family dinning in the small town of Picton where choices are limited, we finally found Coach's, and boy we are glad that we did. The food is quite good, the service is excellent. They have a GREAT outdoor patio/deck at the rear. From the front, this place usually looks desolate/empty. But travel into the building, past the dark, unassuming BAR area, keep going, and you will reach the nice patio/deck area. Highly recommended, if you don't mind the local degens hanging out there after they have enjoyed one too...
