We arrived past 2am after a long drive, exhausted and just looking to rest. The front desk was empty, and we waited several minutes before someone showed up. When they finally did, there was no greeting, no apology, just a robotic “your room is sold out.” No explanation, no effort to accommodate, not even a hint of empathy.
We had booked a suite with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. Instead, we were “offered” a downgraded room with no compensation, no refund for the price difference, and not even a basic acknowledgment that they failed to uphold our reservation. When we asked about getting a second room, we were quoted a walk-in rate that was more than what we paid. And this was even though it was the most basic room type.
When we asked what we were supposed to do, the employee literally told us to cancel and leave. That was the level of “customer service” we received. No effort to help, just get rid of the customer and continue.
We ended up going down the street to Hampton Inn, where we were warmly welcomed and taken care of right away. Night and day difference.
Whether this was one employee or a deeper issue with management and training, it reflects very poorly on Hyatt. Based on this experience, we’ll be thinking twice before ever booking with them again. We’d happily pay more to be treated as a valued customer at the...

Me and 4 friends get there from a late flight at around 2 am morning of July 12th (Mind you we notified them that we will have a late check in). All tired, we go through the front door and have to wait while ringing the bell and calling the front desk, finally after 5-8 minutes the clerk comes.
We go in and Mrs Francesca, the clerk there tells us that our 2 queen suite room was taken as one of the guests moved rooms into our room. Okay, things happen 100%, but what happens next will blow your mind...
She downgrades our room to the King bed room and she wants us to pay more for another room because all of us can't fit in the 1 room...
She then deliberately starts talking in such a rude way, raising her voice, and in the end, tells us that she is cancelling the room and tells us to go look elsewhere, essentially kicking us out?!?
What kind of customer service is this? And at 3 am in the morning too when we are tired??? I thought Hyatt was a premium hotel? This does not show Hyatt being a premium hotel. Period.
I wanted to swear in this post at how pissed I am at this hotel but I am holding back...
Hyatt team please either give better training to your clerks or FIRE the ones that are clearly bad. Including Francesca.
To see the validity of this post, please see the booking under World of Hyatt#: 588563699H AND please see when that booking was cancelled.
All I can say is I am quite...
