We left a bottle of baby formula, an apple, and not sure what else in the room which we checked out 1 hour ago. When I called, the hotel front desk told me the house keeping found them and said the belongings would be ready to pick up at the front desk in 5 minutes once we drove back there. When I arrived, the front desk staff said the house keeping was bringing them down, and asked me to wait for 5 minutes at most. After waiting for more than 15, I checked with the front desk again and asked how long did I need to wait as my baby is waiting in the car crying for the milk. He radio called the house keeping to check, and told me my properties were at the fridge of house keeping office at the 2nd floor, and asked me to wait there. So I went up, met with the house keeping supervisor, checked their fridges, but couldn't find anything. So she called back the front desk and the house cleaning supervisor, and told me my stuffs are still the the room fridge, they were in the room processing it, and would bring down to the front desk soon, and ask me to go back to the front. But when I went down to the front desk and waiting, the guy called Alex who's been telling me to come back and they have my belongings, told me they don't have them, after more than half an hour waiting and all the back and forth. I felt so confused and mistreated. I talked to their manager Stephanie Panneton, Director of Rooms, and she directly told me it's a mistake and asked me to leave. She didn't even want to help me take a look where they might have them possibly, and refused to let me take a look or even talk to the house keeping supervisor again who said they were bringing them. She also told me this how they treated customers. I called their manager Bryan Belanger, Director of Operations, but no pick up on work telphone number, land line, or cellphone number. So I called 911 for help, police arrived after 10 minutes. They chatted in French for a while in front of my face, which I don't understand at all, and then told me they don't have the items and asked me to leave without any investigation or at least check with the house keeping. By then my baby and my families already waited for more than an hour in the car outside. I had to call and file a complaint with the Marriott customer service. I've been to many Marriott hotels, but never been treated like this, disrespectful and discriminated as an English speaker. What I lost were small value stuffs, what if it's high value belongings. Aside from they kept my baby starving crying for long time, what they did were super unprofessional, irresponsible and rude. Wasting other people's time is also a crime in life. I just...
Read moreSheraton |Beautiful hotel but lacks service. |We stayed at the Sheraton Saint-Hyacinthe for 3 nights. The hotel is beautiful with impressive entrance and clean modern rooms. I had a complicated reservation with 2 rooms for 2 nights in rooms with 2 queen beds then one night with one room in a king room on club floor and second room in a king suite. |I addressed this with the front desk as soon as I checked in to try and make the transition fairly seamless. We would have stayed all three nights in the same room type but this was all that was available when I booked on line. I’m a gold elite bonvoy member and I find service is usually excellent at the front desk when you check in. This was not the case at this hotel but I couldn’t even tell you who I was talking to since very few staff at the desk wear name tags. As well even though they spoke English they would discuss my reservation in French with each other in front of me. The morning I had to switch rooms I received an email from central reservation to check in on line and I did so immediately. Even though I mentioned to the desk several times I was concerned about the timing since we were here for a sporting event that would have us leaving the hotel in the afternoon. I was hoping they would make the cleaning of one of our rooms a priority as we had to be out of our rooms by noon because they needed them. I just felt very frustrated at the lack of cooperation at the desk. |Never once was I addressed by name or recognized as a gold elite member. No one offered to help us move our luggage. Instead of paying more attention to the empty room we were waiting to be cleaned they were actually cleaning one of our rooms that we hadn’t even moved out of yet. Lack of other details such as a robe hanging in our room but no belt for it and empty body wash containers that wernt replenished.|The one person that was excellent was the staff member that took care of the club lounge. She was a hard worker and everything was neat and tidy |I wanted to make you aware...
Read moreI stayed here shortly after the hotel opened, about 1 week after the official grand opening.
This Sheraton is spacious and clean, with really nice furnishings. The lobby has some great seating areas, and there is a nearby bar and business centre/lounge area.
The young lady who checked me in was warm and polite, as well as bilingual. She offered to help me in English, but tolerated my request to practice my French!
My 4th floor king room included a small couch and a chair. The bathroom has a separate shower/toilet area behind a sliding door. The decorations are modern but still very classy. I also checked out the gym, which has a decent selection of machines and free weights. See some photos I uploaded earlier.
I slept very well in the comfortable bed. I didn't hear any noise, even on the 4th floor. All of the linens, covers and towels were of a good quality. I also ate at the attached restaurant, Zibo, and had excellent service and tasty food. I had hoped to check out the Club lounge, but the hotel is so new that the Club isn't yet opened. I wish I had known when I booked!
Overall I highly recommend this hotel. My only negatives are that as a SPG gold member I did not receive a room upgrade from what I booked, despite there being upgraded rooms available, and despite asking. I also booked via the SPG app, but was not given the upgraded premium internet access that is a part of that process. Because my room was nice and I wasn't doing much work that needed the internet, these two things didn't really affect me on this visit. I also had an issue with a drunk patron of the restaurant, who tried to grope me, but this was handled really well by the restaurant manager.
So, in summary, a very nice brand new hotel, well appointed, comfortable, and great service, and at a very...
