Debra and George went above and beyond our expectations. From the minute we arrived to Hughson Hall Bed & Breakfast for our elopement, to the moment we left, we experienced a 5+ star stay. Debra was so helpful to us in arranging our wedding at Hughson Hall; no detail was overlooked. George greeted us the evening we arrived from our long drive to help with our luggage and then to serve us on their Juliette balcony with a charcuterie platter and glasses of wine. Each morning, he arrived with coffee and juice on a silver tray directly to our room and the 3-course freshly baked/cooked breakfast that followed was truly 5-star dining. We slept so well during our 3-night stay in the East Wing. The bed was incredibly comfortable as were the pillows. There was ample room to relax as well as to prepare ourselves for our special day. The morning of our wedding, Debra and George were there for us for our intimate wedding ceremony in their beautiful gardens. The wedding cake that Debra baked was adorned with the same flowers from the bride’s bouquet and tasted as good as it looked! By the end of our stay, we felt that we had made new friends. Debra and George, we’ll see you again at Hughson Hall B & B for our 1st wedding anniversary.

What an incredible experience at Hughson Hall over the weekend! Festive lighting throughout really set the tone for the holiday season. We were able to have a couples getaway and did it ever surpass our expectations. Debra and George were both fantastic hosts who really made the stay special. The house has an incredibly rich history, and the room quality and cleanliness were top notch. The afternoon charcuterie with wine was delicious with local offerings, and the morning coffee and tea with an exquisite 3 course breakfast was the cherry on top for the weekend. Don’t think twice about staying here, it really is an incredible place!!

Hughson House and our wonderful hosts, George and Debra went over and beyond all our expectations and experiences of any B&B we have ever travelled to! 🥰 Gorgeous, breathtaking rooms with all the extras and elaborate home made treats and wine upon our arrival to the most delicious and elegant of breakfasts each morning in their picturesque, Victorian dining room ❤️ Truly a delightful stay where our every wish was offered and catered to in a friendly and welcoming manner . An elegant escape with beautiful decor surrounding us , this truly was a magical and memorable stay. Thank you so much for all 🤗❤️

A Most Wondrous Stay in Stratford

Upon a fair eve, my wife and I did chance upon a most enchanting respite in Stratford, where history and hospitality intertwine in a harmony most divine. From the moment we crossed the threshold of this venerable abode—one graced by none other than the illustrious Christopher Plummer—we were met with a warmth most rare, a welcome that bespoke both grace and genuine care.

Our hosts, like players most skilled upon the stage, did guide us through this grand dwelling, where echoes of Stratford’s past linger in every polished wood and carefully curated relic. As if to bid us truly at home, they presented a charcuterie board most bounteous, a feast to delight both eye and palate, setting the tone for an eve of contented repose.

Yet the morn brought forth an even greater spectacle—a three-course breakfast, wrought by hands most deft and devoted. Each morsel, crafted from scratch, bespoke a love for the culinary arts, a testament to the thought and detail woven into every aspect of our stay. Here, indeed, lies an inn where no corner is left unkempt, no comfort overlooked, and no guest uncherished.

Immaculate in both spirit and setting, this Stratford sanctuary is a treasure most rare—a great value, beyond doubt, and a place I commend with highest praise. Should thou seek a retreat rich in history, hospitality, and heart, look no further, for here is an experience most worth thy time.

Verily, we shall...

When we set out for the Stratford Festival, we had no idea we were about to find our own slice of paradise. Hughson Hall is a masterpiece, a living work of art that feels like it was plucked from a storybook and brought to life. Its quiet charm, just a short stroll from the vibrant heart of downtown Stratford, offers the perfect blend of serenity (quiet, tree lined streets) and convenience (10 minute walk to the action!).

Every detail is a testament to the love and care poured into this magnificent home. We stayed in the West Wing, a truly fantastical space with its own private sitting area, a bed so plush you'll never want to leave, and little touches like personal robes that make you feel like royalty. The individual AC units in each room were a lifesaver!

And the breakfasts? Oh my. The breakfasts were a culinary masterpiece. Each course was a delight, prepared with such finesse and care that it was truly one of the highlights of our trip.

What truly makes Hughson Hall an experience of a lifetime, though, are the hosts, Debra and George. They are the embodiment of hospitality; warm, welcoming, and endlessly helpful. Their insider tips on local shops and restaurants made our time in Stratford unforgettable. They treat you not just as a guest, but as a cherished friend.

We're already counting down the days until we can return in...
