Tahini’s — Restaurant in Stratford

I've actually had good food from this restaurant, so I was very disappointed by my recent experience. I ordered delivery off the website; when it hadn't arrived on time, I checked the email receipt, and discovered it had been changed to a pickup order. I called the restaurant to inform them of their error, and was told they don't deliver. I asked them how I was going to get my food or be reimbursed, and was told "that's not our problem." They told me to get in touch with their website provider, who doesn't have a customer service number. They told me several times over the course of a few phone calls back and forth that the store owner would call me in 2 minutes (he never did). I've submitted customer service tickets with corporate, never heard anything back. So at this point they owe me ~$40 for two meals I paid for but never received, which I suspect I'll never see back. The restaurant is in an okay location internally. The food is okay (not worth the price) if you can overlook the hairs and chunks of cartilage in the wraps and the wrap being mostly bread (having a tiny pocket of food while being about 80% bread). They had issues knowing how to prepare the three kinds of wraps they make (having messed up the contents of both of ours yet at least remembering I didn't want pickles). I'd rather go down to BarBurrito which is a small walk away and actually makes people wear hair nets. The staff were considerate and apologetic, offering more food instead of a refund and told us they were struggling to learn how to make the food they serve, which granted they just did open

Also, after just having got home with our remade wraps, they made them wrong for a second time, so I don't get a meal and my partner gets three wraps they can at least tolerate if they don't think about the first one...

We went here for the first time yesterday. It was pretty good. I got a regular sized Kafta bowl with no heat or spiciness added. Both my partner and a friend of ours got the regular sized Jerk chicken bowls at medium level heat. They liked it but thought it was a tiny bit too spicy. And our friend didn't get the pineapple she was supposed to. But later when I asked for some lids to take our meals to go, I had the girl behind the counter add pineapple to our friends' bowl. The regular sized bowls are definitely good sized portions. All 3 of us couldn't finish our food at the restaurant and took the rest home. We're looking forward to trying something new during our next visit. I almost got the Habibi chicken bowl so maybe I'll try that next time. The people working there were friendly and it had a nice...
