Decent campsite, owners are friendly. Its close to everything and so very convenient if you've travelled a long distance to fond you've forgotten something. Washrooms and showers are a plus! Kids and i had a great time and it felt very safe there.
Downsides are that some of the campsites are super tiny and can probably only fit a 3 person tent and a small car. So if you're a large family and need room, you're better off booking 2 camping spots, especially if the camp ground are close to full/booked up. Also with the campgrounds so small and close together there would barely be any privacy with your neighbors..so better go when it's not too busy.
Also, if you're interested in enjoying the wilderness then this isn't the place for you. Its in the middle of a residential area. However, the beach and park are a few minutes away and within walking distance, that was a great advantage. This also means that it doesn't get too dark at night. Lighting is just enough so may not even need a flashlight, yet not a lot so it won't bother you.
I would recommend this place and would definitely like go there...

I donāt usually leave reviews, but this experience was so unbelievably bad that I feel like I need to warn others.
I booked three nights at this campground and paid just over $100, thinking I was getting a peaceful, nature-filled retreat. What I got instead was an overcrowded, filthy disaster that I wouldnāt wish on anyone.
There was no spaceānone. Every inch of the campground was packed with people, tents, RVs, and noise. The listing made it seem like there would be room to breathe, maybe even a bit of privacy. Total lie. It was like trying to camp at a music festival without the music.
And the garbage? Everywhere. Overflowing bins, food wrappers, beer bottles, broken chairsāyou name it. The place looked like it hadnāt been cleaned or maintained in weeks. It was disgusting.
I didnāt even stay the night. I took one look around, realized what a mess it was, and turned right back around. I basically threw away $100 for the privilege of being completely disappointed.
Unless you enjoy camping in a chaotic landfill, donāt bother. This...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a reasonably priced municipal campground (at 45.00/night for power and water hookup in July 2024) located 2 long blocks walk downhill on Peach Orchard Drive from the lakeside, then the beach area is another block's distance down Lakeshore Drive. The drawback to this is that after enjoying the hot desert sun, the water and the beach for 3 or 4 hours, you and your exhaustion must make that trek back up the hill to the campsite. It's not a huge issue, but something to consider. Most sites have power and water service or just water, but there is no sewer service at all. There are also unserviced tenting sites and a large group camping area in the back of the campground. The campground offers 2 sets of washroom facilities for campers. There is even laundry facility at additional cost. It was 5.00 to wash and 5.00 to dry your clothes when I was there in July, 2024. Overall, it is a nicely treed, warm and friendly atmosphere in the near desert conditions of the beautiful Okanogan Valley at a reasonable cost. I would recommend this place to any budget...
