We paid $344 for two weekend nights in room 101, a single king on the ground floor.
Room: 8/10 Room amenities included 10' ceilings, a closet, dresser, writing desk and 42" LCD TV. Microwave, mini fridge and Keurig coffee machine are also presents
An unexpected bonus was a second door leading directly to the parking lot.
Notably absent are USB charging ports, but the free WiFi is strong, connects easily and seems to have plenty of bandwidth available.
The washroom had a large walk in shower with grab bars for the shower and toilet. The vanity sink is wheelchair accessible. Standard hair dryer and toiletries are present. Unfortunately the shower head was leaking and the pressure suffered as a result.
The bed was comfortable and pillows plentiful.
Cleanliness/Presentation: 8/10 The room was clean and well presented. As mentioned, the bathroom had a leaking shower head and was there first time of ever seen a hotel place the toilet rolls backwards - goatee not mullet folks! ;)
The hotel also had a large hot tub, steam room and workout room. Again, clean and well presented but try as I might I could not get the hot tub jets to work.
Staff: 10/10 Front desk staff were polite, professional and freely engaged with my young son when he had questions about the hot tub.
The breakfast bar attendant was very attentive and made great conversation with a young guest who was attending a funeral later in the day.
Location: 9/10 The hotel is located right off the highway, but the room and area in general were quiet at night.
Parking: 6/10 Stalls are serviced but narrow given that the pickup truck in the dominant choice of the guests at there i. Highway tractors and those with trailers will be parking on the street.
Extras: 8/10 Boardgames are offered to borrow for the night, a nice touch that could save families! A small variety of snacks and drinks are available for purchase at the front desk.
The hotel also offered breakfast with cereal, yoghurt, waffles, bagels, banana bread, hashbrown potatoes, sausage, scrambled eggs, etc. A nice variety and...
Read moreI prepaid $337.66 over a month in advance for a two night stay at this hotel. Once I arrived at the hotel instead of using my visa for a damage deposit they double charged me for my room ($269.78). I immediately caught their mistake and pointed it out to their employee. Their employee wasn't properly trained and could not reverse the incorrect charge. She told me she would have her night manager take care of it and contact me in the morning to confirm. I was never contacted so I inquired upon checkout if I had been refunded. Turns out the night manager didn't process my refund. After waiting for around 20 minutes I was assured by the assistant manager that this time everything was set and I would receive my refund within 7 to 10 business days. Upon checking my banking statement I discovered I was only refunded $134.89. I now get to spend more of my time on the phone tomorrow trying to get this hotel to sort out their mistake. Our mini fridge had a half full soda pop and take out food upon our arrival. There was also a very unsettling brown streak on our bed's duvet which I hope was only a stain. The lack of proper sanitation within our fairly pricey room and poorly trained staff has made this one of the least pleasant hotel experiences we've had. I would highly recommend that if you have the option to stay at a different location you jump at it and avoid the stress of this hotel. I would leave a zero star review...
Read moreStayed last night. Hotel seemed clean and staff were friendly enough. Main light flickered so we just didn't use it. Breakfast ended at 10am so we didn't make it down in time to enjoy breakfast unfortunately. A few hours after checkout when I got home to unpack I realized that my brand new Sorel sandals got left behind. Myself and my friend can recall exactly where they were left. I call right away and explain the situation expecting to give my address and have them shipped to me at my expense. Unfortunately this was not the case. The housekeeper did not report any recovered belongings. The lady that I spoke to said the room had been cleaned but that she'd go double check the room and call me back. They weren't hidden so I know if the room was actually cleaned that she wouldn't find the shoes...and she didn't. She apologized and expected our conversation to end there. I disagreed and said they've been stolen by staff and asked to speak to a manager. She told me there is not a manager there presently but will leave a message for the manager to call me tomorrow. I'm sure I'll be told the same thing by whoever phones but this is NOT okay! It's NOT okay to have guests belongings go missing even after check out. So disgusted and...
