Bayside Inn Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Town of Digby

This little bed and breakfast is in a charming traditional building along the waterfront. The scenery across the street is the Bay of Fundy which is amazing to wake up to. It's also really close to the restaurants and other retail in town so you can park your car and truly take in the local sights (head to the boardwalk for some live music!).

About the room itself, do be aware that the bed isn't the softest and that your room may not have air conditioning (ours didn't). There are fans and keeping the window open gave us enough of a breeze for it to be bearable (staying in late August) but for sleepers that like it cold you may want to find another place. The shower is meant for shorter guests but is still fantastic to relax into after a long day of driving around the Nova Scotia countryside. I really do wish the bed was a bit softer (to help emphasize the Bed in bed and breakfast) but if you tuck all the extra pillows under the covers and sleep on them it works well enough given the affordable room rates.

The service is great and the owner (who's name I forget) is absolutely joyful. The breakfast in the morning is a great start to the day and is filling enough to get your through a beautiful morning of whale watching...

My wife and me pulled into Digby on 23/Oct 2019. Never having the desire to book a B&B while travelling, I decided to call; Angela answered and provided me with their features and clear benefits. Her courteous & friendly demeanour convinced me to try the B&B experience. Hands down, the best layover...ever! What began as a “one-night, what have you got to lose” approach ended in us staying an additional 3 nights. Staff was friendly and always willing to ensure our needs were met. I sincerely did not want to leave. If you are anything like me when travelling, wanting only to stay in hotels, take the leap and book here at Bayside. You will not regret it! Great rates were almost an after thought in light of the service, ambience, and overall convenience to shops and restaurants. When visiting Digby or surrounding areas of this piece of God’s country, make Bayside Inn your place to stay. It’s a little piece of home while enjoying this...

Really nice inn with breakfast included. Host was super friendly and cooked hot breakfast the next morning. Thank you for offering breakfast from 7.30am rather than 8am like most places! Freshly cooked scrambled eggs, bacon and toast were offered as well as yogurt, muffins and banana bread. Room was spacious, we booked one with a bathroom which was about the same size as the room. Interesting bath/shower - old school bath with shower attachment. Suggest they look at replacing the shower curtain. Note that not all bedrooms have their own bathroom - and though some have a private bathroom you have to leave your bedroom to access it. Make sure you check what you’re booking before you book. Our room also had a beautiful view of the water and is located walking distance to town. Overall nice place for a one night...
