The hotel itself was fine.
However, after I used my personal credit card for a personal stay, they then (months later) charged my personal card (instead of an employer credit card that was provided) when I stayed at the hotel for business. I never authorized them to charge my personal card and I had to go through the rigamarole of sorting it out. I asked them to delete my personal credit card information from their system and they assured me that they did.
Half a year later, I don't even work for the same employer, and the hotel charged my personal card for a booking made by my old employer, that I had absolutely nothing to do with, that my name shouldn't be associated with in any way, and that I obviously did not authorize.
I'm now in the process of trying to sort this, and a front desk staff member claimed to have no ability to issue refunds and that he would pass this information along to a manager, even after I made it clear, repeatedly, that I had nothing to do with the booking and did not authorize it. He did not understand the situation and I had to explain it multiple times.
Spare yourself multiple headaches and unpleasant phone calls and stay somewhere else.
Edit - I spoke with another employee who was nice and told me that I would be refunded and my credit card information would be deleted from their system. I've removed the most critical comments from my review as a result. But I still very much regret ever staying here.
Edit 2 - THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION (OR ANY ACTION ON MY PART) AGAIN TWO WEEKS LATER (at least they reversed the charge before I even noticed this time, but good lord). I am furious. It looks like I'll have to cancel my credit card because these clowns won't remove it from their system despite assuring me they would do exactly that on two separate...
Read moreWe stayed at the st paul location just this past weekend for my oldest kids graduation/ boyfriends birthday, we tried to check in early because we needed to get ready for pictures, and even though the rooms weren't quite ready, the man working the counter Tom (a literal angel!) Was able to get us at least one room to get ready in! After getting everyone ready we were pleasantly surprised to find our room was gifted a beautiful birthday surprise for my boyfriends birthday! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we all were comfortable, and even managed to get us all on the same floor despite being fully booked! The hot tub was under maintenance unfortunately, but my youngest kid assured me the pool/waterslide area was great! We really enjoyed the arcade area, nice touch to wind down after a whirlwind day! Good mixture of arcade games as well as board games, Foosball table was a fun game as well! The coffee area was great to have available, but they were out of tea, which was a minor dissapointment. When we went down for breakfast we were quite impressed at the options available! The waffles were a hit! Delicious and readily stocked fresh throughout the times open. Rooms were spacious and clean, would recommend for families! Although available we didn't use the laundry facilities or the fully stocked convenience corner, but lovely to...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel this week as well a few times in the past, overall I was not satisfied at all as I found my room to smell of stale cigarettes and alcohol not to mention the a/c was loud and was giving off a foul smell in the air. I had the breakfast in the dining room and was asked by a very friendly young man (Tom) if I wanted to have a custom omelette for breakfast, as I sat in the dining room I watched this poor guy being run off his feet dealing with not only making the custom omelettes for everyone but also dealing with replenishing the breakfast items, answering the phone at the front desk...and this is all while two ladies one which I recognized as the manager of the hotel standing around the back of the front desk and talking and laughing together, I was surprised to see that it was expected that this one young fellow juggle all of the jobs while other staff stand around and watch.||I would add that the hotel seemed to be very busy and I was very surprised to see one single person dealing with so many things as other staff stand around and chat...I would have to say the lack of teamwork that was obvious during me eating my breakfast was not good and maybe the manager should delegate her staff a little more...
