Today my friend and I went in for lunch. We waited approximately 10 minutes just for our server to come take our drinks. It was a simple order. It was water and coffee and I'd ask for a picture of water.. She asked if the person having coffee needed sugar or cream and they told her cream. When she returned she brought back a cup of coffee and a glass of water and I asked her if I could please have a picture and she said sure I don't have three hands and she acted dejected. I never complaining or something. I just went so she didn't return and she didn't bring the gentleman's creamer. So I asked another waitress if she could get her waitress to help us and she's she offered to help us and I said that's fine. She went and got my picture water and the gentleman's creamer for his coffee which by then was cold. Then our initial waitress did not return to bring the water. Did not return to bring the cream. Did not serve us our food. Another lady served us our food up and I asked the lady if our waitress had not intended to return to our table and she had said she wasn't certain. I said that's fine. That suits us. It wasn't until we were almost done eating that. Our original waitress came back and asked if we needed anything. My impression already had been made and my partners as well and he told her no. Thank you. When we went to go pay our bill we asked to speak to the young lady that actually did serve our table and was pleasant to take our bill to pay it. She told us that she would have to take it to the other waitress whose table it belonged to. I said that's fine. The change remaining off of that was like a dollar something and I said that's fine because that's what she deserves. I told the younger surfer that I called her over intentionally because I considered her service was pleasant and helpful and I tipped her $10 which was a little less than 50% of the bill. We all have bad days but when you can't be asked to bring a picture of water without getting snippy with someone when it's unprovoked and the request was made pleasantly don't expect tips . Now on to the food the food was overcooked and cold and dry. It was two pizzas. I feel that it was probably left underneath a heat lamp for too long and not expedited. As soon as it was ready I feel it sat there. It wasn't enjoyable and that's a real pity because Boston pizza's got great pizza. I'm not sure what's happening at this particular restaurant but it's just not the quality it used to be. Certainly not Boston...
Read moreSorry to the franchise owners however I believe Boston pizza represents nearly everything wrong with this country and I vow to consistently give every Boston pizza a 1 star review. This great hatred can be rooted back to a horrendous event that scarred me as a child as a result of boston pizzas food. I was 11 years old when on a frigid February my novice hockey team ventured to a hockey tournament in Beaumont. Our first night we arrived at the hotel and stayed overnight in a super 8 with a water slide as we had games all day Saturday starting at 8am. We lost every game that day and hoped that we could drown our young sorrows in chicken fingers, burgers, wings and pizza all from Boston pizza. We ate and shared laughs here unbeknownst to the horror we would later face as a consequence of Boston pizza. Upon returning to the hotel our team decided we wanted to partake in some water slide activities. Multiple teammates grew sick as the night went on. One was so sick he actually defecated while sliding down the slide at this super 8. This was not the worst part of this story however. With lacking supervision at this hotel water slide we formed trains. Our sick teammate was at the front of the train when this occurred scaring 6 little souls for the rest of their lives...
Read moreWe had attended the St. Paul location once prior and had poor service, food taking an exceptionally long time to come. So knowing from our past experience, we ordered our beverages and food at the same time for our party of 7. Being that we arrived at 1:00 pm and there only being 5 other tables with guests already seated, we were hopeful that our experience would be better. At 2:20pm we asked our server how much longer and were told that the meals were ready but that they were just waiting on the one order of a GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH. Shortly after the sandwich and only half of the other meals arrived, we opened up the grilled cheese finding a slight trace of cheese on only 3/4 of the sandwich. The manager was asked to please come out and speak to us where we addressed our concern. The other meals came out approx 10 min after speaking to the manager. The experience was horrific and I would never recommend the St. Paul BP's. The only good thing was that our server was wonderful, but i felt awful for her in that position as it was out of her hands. And please note that if you tip by visa or debit it is shared amongst everyone, but if you tip by cash the server...
