This is a delightful home run by D’Arcy and Anne. On our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by their parent who was subbing for them for the afternoon. The interior of the home is superbly decorated in keeping the character of a 1900 built home with practical, comfortable and modern furnishings. The home is non-smoking but for visitors that have to indulge there is a small deck, situated at the back of the house as well as a great place to enjoy a glass after your drive. We were served an excellent breakfast, great nutritional value, adequate amount of food, eggs, pastry, fresh fruit, juices and coffee or tea, all elegantly served on china with silver flatware. Free WiFi provided good speeds for uploading pictures to those “back home”. Pricing of our stay I would suspect is at the higher end when compared to similar locations, but all things considered I will enjoy a return visit any...
Read moreBelgravia is an outstanding B&B in an excellent quiet neighbourhood location near restaurants and the Truro Farmer’s market. D’Arcy and Anne greet you with genuine warmth and are the nicest people. They live there with their family of four so it has a very personal feeling. The rooms are comfortable with many nice touches. A wall full of best sellers if you need reading material. There is a sitting area inside and a covered back porch. I was out there early by myself and D’Arcy brought me coffee, unprompted, a very gracious touch. The breakfasts are, as many have commented, above and beyond, out of this world. D’Arcy, a retired teacher, could have been a great chef. There were fresh muffins, maple granola, and choice of eggs on spinach with back bacon. Mine was perfectly poached. Utterly delicious way to start the day. Belgravia is a gem in a...

We were not excited about the hotels in Truro and elected to go with a B&B for some more local charm.||Belgravia Bed & Breakfast is located in a nice residential area of Truro in a beautiful old house. The hosts were friendly and gracious. The main rooms were attractive and our room had a family feel, as did the entire place.||We had an easy walk to area restaurants. Parking is on-site and convenient.||The cooked breakfast was served at a large common dining room table where we had a nice chat with another guest from the Netherlands.||For what it's worth, it's an easy drive from here to the airport in Halifax, so Truro is a decent location for a first or final day of a trip.||This is...
