We have been in South America for a total of three months and this place has been the worst hospitality experience by far. From where shall start ? Initially, we were informed with a message about where our room was, which was not clear. After we finally found our room, the code we had received did not work. Since the instructions were not clear, we tried the code in another room which worked, but it was not our room! The girl we were in contact with, instead of apologizing for mixing up the room codes and not explaining properly which one was ours, angrily told us that if we did not leave the room that was not ours in perfect condition, we would have to pay for it too. After some time, we found our room, and as we were tired from our trip, we wanted to take a bath. Apart from the fact that there was mold in the corners, the water did not work properly at all. You can't adjust the temperature, hot water comes for 10 seconds and then changes to cold by itself. As soon as we mentioned the problem, the lady which we were in contact replied ironically that the water works PERFECTLY and that we didn't know how to adjust it. What exactly did we do wrong so that this bathroom works differently from all the others? And if the bathroom had some special adjustment, why weren't we informed from the beginning? Finally, the most disturbing and annoying thing of all is that our room had another room right next to it which is separated by a door with non-existent insulation. You really hear EVERYTHING from the next door. We had the misfortune of having neighbors who made a lot of noise and smoke (which was not allowed inside the building) so we didn't sleep a single minute. I wonder how someone can be so irresponsible and insensitive and put two rooms next to each other with a poorly insulated door separating them? Of course we mentioned this to the lady as well and her answer was that it's not her fault if the people who come to sleep make noise. While we had booked to sleep for eight days, we left on the third day because we hadn't slept and couldn't take a shower. We asked the girl for our money back in case she books the room again but she never answered anything, not even apologizing for the bad hospitality. Read moreOkay place. You pay for what you get but the service is no good. First and most importantly, the name 'Bed & Breakfast' is very misleading.. You shouldn't name yourself Bed & Breakfast if that's not offered.. not really understanding that part. Self managed, run like an Airbnb however, I would highly recommend to message the WhatsApp number a few hours in advance before you get to the place, no reception, no one there to open the door. When I got there, there was a group waiting to go in but they had no idea how to get in, they told me no one was answering nor answering the door. That's cause no reception. You must text the WhatsApp number to get a response. Which is OKAY but the host should probably be attentive and send a text in advance so people are lost trying to get inside.
I stayed at a few places in Santiago and I thought to get the same service and a reception but was not expecting to no get a message back for 25 mins and running into other people saying they've been out there for 15 mins.
However you pay for what you get.. so the room was okay, hot/ no AC or air circulation. Window that closes when you close the door cause of the room design. I stayed at the room at the very top and barely had any internet connection. But it was very quiet and very far away from any communication. Really liked the backyard open space but very large living room, great kitchen. Water filter in fridge doesn't;t work but has water filtered in the fridge.
