The hotel was very good looking and placed at a perfect location at Iquique, near to quite everything and next to a pedestrian street. The room was quite big and there also was a pool and a gym, free of charge. A parking lot was available underground and accessible from the hotel elevators. The bad points were that, first of all, the air conditioner did not work in our room. It was a very hot night, and I had to ask the receptionist for a solution : they offered us to change room or to lend us a fan, that saved our night. The pool water looked quite dirty, not very transparent. We found a restaurant nearby for dinner, but had to reserve by phone, and neither me or my wife spoke Spanish, so we asked the receptionist if he could call for us, just to reserve a table. He said he had too much work and he would do it around 30 minutes later and call us in our room, but no news 1 hour later, we had to do it ourselves with Google Translator. We spent a nice night but were a bit disappointed of the points...

The NH Hotel is a nice place to stay, it is old and could probably use a make over but it is comfortable and clean. |Pros:|-English speaking staff|-Helpful people|-Clean|Cons:|-A little loud if you are above the outdoor area where people smoke|-Breakfast is good but otherwise the restaurant is only ok|-TV's are on timers and go off in the morning, the first morning my TV turned on at 6:30 am and was so loud and scared me awake. I had to ask twice but eventually they unplugged it. ||The Cleaning staff does a great job but note, if you are someone that does not like your stuff touched you might not like it, they move everything in your room, like move your shoes into the bed stand, move all the stuff on bathroom counter, they even moved my jammies onto my bed. I did not mind it but I know some people do not like.|The hotel is a long way from Exponor but most of them are. I enjoyed this stay and would recommend this...

Es un hotel estándar promedio. Como muchos hoteles del Norte está sobrevalorado en su categoría, aunque el precio corresponde con su calidad. Tal vez lo mejor sea la calidad humana del personal. Tuvieron que cambiarme de habitación porque el baño no tenía cortinas en la ducha. Además la tina se tapaba al bañarte llegando el agua hasta los tobillos. Tal ves lo peor, es que tienen categoría de sus habitaciones por vista mar o vista ciudad. Y la vista mar, si bien se ve el mar al fondo, el primer plano de un estacionamiento de tierra y unas capuchas de madera, no le aportan valor. Ni hablar de la "vista ciudad" o calle donde el entorno urbano es bastante deficiente. Para disimular la fea vista del mar, en el restaurant, el arquitecto tuvo la idea de poner unos arbustos y un toldo (porque es vista poniente), elementos que finalmente anulan la vista del paisaje marítimo. Un lugar fresco y atractivo es la terraza de la piscina , donde el WiFi no funciona por lo que debes desconectarte sí o sí. Una falla funcional que termina haciendo que aproveches ese lugar.

Para hoy que andamos full conectando todos nuestros dispositivos y cargadores, tendrás inconvenientes en algunos lugares donde o no hay enchufes o están estropeados.

Otra cosa positiva es la calidad de la cama, sin duda lo mejor de la estadía, fresca con u.n aparato gigante de aire acondicionado que tal vez sea antiguo por su tamaño, cumple bien su rol de mantener la habitación a la temperatura adecuada.

La televisión plana y con canales básicos de cable, con. Anuales premios, aporta.

La comida también esta sobrevalorada. Pedí una entraña con papas rústicas y el tamaño de la carne era una porción pequeña para un adulto, con una entraña que probablemente estuviera previamente congelada. Falta de sabor y papas saladas. Con un chorrito de una salsa que aún no logro identificar de qué era. Todo mal para un plato de usd15. El pisco sour anduvo bien.

Si bien el desayuno buffet funciona, ponen cereales y no hay yogurt se valoran las maquinas de café, los dulces y comida salada. Todo muy bien presentado y sabroso.

Le haría falta creo yo una renovación en sus terminaciones y poner atención a todos estos detalles que al final de tu estadía te hacen valorarlos de...
