Hostal Y Cabañas Marjorie — Hotel in Pucón

I was NOT happy with the service here. I picked it because the price was good ($25 pesos) for family of 3. It did not smell of tobacco, wood smoke, or disinfectant like others. But, I did not notice that the shower is only 16 inches deep and less when including the shower rail! I am 6' 1", 250lbs. I only had room to use the toilet sideways!

The bed was hard and uncomfortable. No closet, just some shelves (not terrible). Cramped quarters ( 12 inches between beds (but I knew that coming in). The front entrance bell not functioning. Front entrance seems to be boarded up and abandoned. I had to yell out from the street to get someone's attention inside.

It's Fall now going into the winter ski season (the down time). So, we had this place to ourselves. So, why did they charge us $1000 pesos each for a crappy, thin towel for our 2-night stay? (Save your money and buy a good one on the Main Street (O'Higgins Ave.) for about the same w/c you keep).

First night, we couldn't get hot water for our shower. The landlady was gone. Turns out that they had left two main gas valves off. I have found that in Chile rather than admit a mistake people will blame others, circumstances, customs, ... ANYTHING! People make mistakes. What bothers me is the lack of adult responsibility. They learn no life lessons and doomed to repeat.

This lady was no exception. She even got upset when she found me late night trying to turn on the Insta-Hot water heater on my own for my boy's shower! What does she expect! I will never...

La estadía tiene un valor de $65.000. Para 3 personas, las habitación que nos asignaron era pequeña cabían 2camas( una de 2 plaza y una de una plaza) casi justo, tiene un televisor y tiene 2 enchufes en altura ( como a 1,5 mts de alto)NO incluye toallas, NO incluye baño privado, NO incluye desayuno, el check out es las 10am. El comedor tiene 3 termos con agua caliente, apenas tiene azúcar y té. Estuve en la cabaña de abajo. Las comodidades están bien. Faltaba calefaccionar un poco los ambientes, aunque era otoño, por las noches se siente un poco de frío. Algunos detalles de mantenimiento, como el agua que quedaba corriendo en el baño. El auto queda en la calle. La ubicación es buena, a una cuadra de la calle principal y a 5 del lago.
