Hotel Cumbres del Sur — Hotel in Pucón

We booked into this place last minute as we decided to do an overnight bus trip from Santiago to pucon. We arrived at 8.00 am in the morning with a ton of luggage and a 1 year old baby, Natalia on the front desk was breath of fresh air she welcomed us with a great big smile she spoke perfect English and arranged for us to check into our room as soon as we arrived. What a great way to start our stay the rooms are 12 months old so very clean and new downstairs has a great lounge dining area with a tv and abundance of books. The staff have been amazing the kitchen staff washed my baby's bottles for me and gave me boiling water to make them up everybody has been super friendly and helpful and I feel like the staff go out of there way to make sure you have a great stay. On our journeys we did a last minute stop over in Pucón for the night. What mostly drew us in was the great location to downtown since we were just staying one night and the fact that every other hotel was reviewed as “old and tired.” This hotel is definitely designed with some great modern flare, comfortable beds, quite a few TV channels and nice patios. The breakfast was pretty basic but perfect for us! The only reason I don’t give it full stars is because the rooms were really hot as it was the summer and the only form of ventilation was to keep the window and patio door open. This made it a bit loud at night was dogs barking and too hot to hang out in during the day. We asked for a fan twice and they said they would bring us one, but a fan never showed up. Rooms and bathrooms are very small. Air circulation was bad in the room.

Wifi is very bad to basically non-existent.

Breakfast was quality-wise okay, but didn’t have a lot of variety, no options for the bread, and it was semi-service-run and there were long lines of 20+ minutes to get food.

Also, I am 100% sure that a top went missing out of my room. I addressed the issue, they were friendly enough to ask the laundry and cleaners if they had seen anything, without result. That was for them the end of the issue, but like I said, the top was visibly hanging on top of the chair when I left and when I returned the room was cleaned and the top was gone. I am unsatisfied how that was handled!
