An Experience That Left Much to Be Desired||We fell into a trap by choosing this hotel. At first glance, the magnificent view and harmonious architecture with nature are impressive. However, this exterior beauty hides a series of shortcomings that make the stay frustrating.||The hotel's distance from the city is a significant drawback. The transfer service, besides being charged at exorbitant prices, is operated by rude drivers, turning a simple trip into a true discomfort. Since this is a transfer offered by the hotel (albeit for a fee), one would expect the driver to have at least some information about the hotel, such as meal times. However, not only did he not know the schedules, but he also responded in a rude manner, which is unacceptable.||The tours offered are also scandalously overpriced, costing nearly double what is available in the city, leaving us feeling exploited.||The service at the reception is, at best, disappointing. The impression is that the staff are there merely out of obligation, with a blasé attitude suggesting they are doing us a favor by assisting us. This lack of cordiality is disheartening and does not align with what one expects from an establishment of this caliber.||Additionally, the absence of porters and an elevator is a significant oversight for guests, especially those with mobility issues or heavy luggage. The hotel structure, which could be a positive differentiator, ends up becoming a hindrance.||While the lunch and dinner menu is of good quality and reasonably priced, the lack of options for those who do not wish for a full meal or alcoholic beverages is an unacceptable limitation. Furthermore, the hotel claims to provide 24-hour service, but this information is misleading. The hours are strict: lunch is served from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and when we arrived at 2:00 PM after a five-hour journey, there was nothing to eat. Snacks are served only from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, and dinner occurs from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. The breakfast, equally limited, is served from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Even after explaining that we hadn’t eaten since 5 AM, no exceptions were made.||Lastly, the internet connection is only reasonable, further compromising the experience for those who need to stay connected.||In summary, this hotel has potential, but the lack of attention to detail and disregard for guest comfort make it a difficult choice to recommend. The beauty of the location does not compensate for the numerous failures in the services provided. An experience that, instead of relaxing, left a bitter taste. For the price charged per night, there are much better and more interesting options available. I do not...
Read moreUnfortunately, this hotel may appear to be a great option for the Patagonia Region, but sadly the service and treatment of booking, reception and transportation departments are the most unhelpful and unresponsive groups of individuals I have seen for a premium hotel (they are considered a 4-Star hotel) and are all very quick to turn and not help you if they are too busy or do not value you as a customer. I may be old-school and have high expectations for service but I think anyone who wants to come down to the epic region of Patagonia wants to know they are getting a great value for their money through the experience and services provided especially at their hotel.
Regardless of length of stay or “All Inclusive” programs, vacationers should be treated with the highest level of service and appreciation and this is not the case with this hotel.
Additionally, we are AMEX Platinum members and booked this hotel through our preferred travel program and are beyond disappointment by the headache of this experience. If you are an AMEX card holder I would advise you to simply explore a few other options in the area and not spend your money at this hotel (there are a lot of other amazing options who did not give us any problems and went above and beyond to help make our previous stays absolutely amazing and accommodating).
I hope this review helps future travelers planning a trip to the Patagonia region and wanting to make their trip...
Read moreThis hotel is seriously overpriced for what you get. Given the remoteness of the location, it is appropriate that expectations should be adjusted somewhat to make allowances for this - however even taking this into account the place falls well short of what can be expected. Positives are that the rooms are a decent size, clean and the beds are comfortable. Complaints are that the level of hospitality falls short of what should be provided - while there were certainly individual staff members who stood out doing a great job, generally staff were disinterested and service was often excruciatingly slow (for eg waiting 1.5 hours after ordering lunch one day for food to be delivered). The quality of food is pretty bad. Although the menu looks quite extensive and they aim to deliver a 'fine dining' level experience, the dishes are so poorly executed they were at time inedible. Attention to detail is lacking (for example, when we went to use the outdoor spa, there was a cover on it which we had to remove ourselves, it stank like an old boat). Also the view from our room was across some construction work, a private residence and a road. There were some beautiful mountains in the background, but I guess just be aware it's not 'romote' as the name suggests. Given my time again I'd stay somewhere a lot cheaper in town and go out for meals etc (noting town is literally only 5 mins from the hotels location and there are some decent places...
