Absolutely WOW – A Hidden Gem! This hotel truly exceeded all expectations – an absolute hidden gem! The location is just perfect, with everything you might need within easy reach. From the moment we arrived, the staff made a lasting impression: warm, friendly, always smiling, and genuinely helpful. They created such a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere throughout my stay. The hotel is built in a beautiful traditional style, which adds charm and character to the whole experience. One of the highlights is the inner garden – lush, green, and incredibly well maintained. It's a peaceful retreat full of vibrant plants, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a bit of nature in the heart of the city. Inside, the hotel is quiet, cosy, spotlessly clean, and very neatly arranged. The bed deserves a special mention – without exaggeration, it was the most comfortable bed we’ve ever experienced in a hotel, had the best sleep every night!
Each room comes thoughtfully equipped with water, tea, coffee, and a small fridge, which made things very convenient. I was welcomed with a plate of fresh fruits, another lovely gesture. There are also three breakfast options available each morning – Chinese, Continental, and American – which offer something for everyone. A truly heartwarming moment was on my birthday. I hadn’t told anyone at the hotel, but they still surprised me with a small cake and a cute traditional gift. It was unexpected and incredibly touching. This place doesn’t just offer accommodation – it offers warmth, charm, and genuine hospitality. I would return in a heartbeat. Highly...
Read moreThis has been the best hotel that I have stayed in Beijing thus far, and I'm certain that I will be back in the future. The hotel is located walking distance to Jingshan Park which makes catching sunrise a breeze in the park. Although the hotel has a very small number of rooms, this has enabled them to provide much better service for their guests.
The staff at the check-in counter were very polite and share some material with me to help on my travels. They have a small starter pack for guests which include a guide to china and a nice map of the area, all of which are very helpful.
The courtyard was very nice and I would imagine people hanging around here when it is not in the middle of winter. The christmas decorations all around the hotel helped give the place a warm and festive vibe.
The hotel was built to look historical and had alot of different touches added to them such as the little stone statues around, the wood carvings in the room etc. I thought it was particularly cute that they even had an IV for the tree to ensure that it was well hydrated during the winter.
The rooms and big and very comfortable. If the pillows are not to you liking, you can easily contact the concierge to have it changed as they have a wide variety of pillows here too. The in-house restaurant was very good as well, and I found myself eating 75% of my meals here as it was both delicious and convenient.
I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone who is travelling to Beijing for...
Read moreThis hotel absolutely exceeded my expectations in every way. If you want to experience 5-star standards in terms of service, elegance and hospitality you will not be disappointed with this charming boutique hotel in the heart of Beijing. The attention to detail is something that sets this hotel apart from others. The staff really go out of their way to personalize your stay and to do everything they can to accommodate you without making you feel overwhelmed. For example, I received a handwritten welcome note with a fruit basket just a few hours after checking in. The dinner was also incredible and the menu was very unique with a wide range of Chinese food from many regions of China. It is also very easy to find, just about 200 metres from the main road, where the taxi would drop you off. The location is perfect for exploring some of Beijing's most touristic attractions. The beautiful Jingshan park is across the street from the hotel, the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square are a couple of kilometres away, the Drum and Bell towers and the lovely Houhai Park are also approximately 2 km from the hotel. Also, located in the hutong area within walking distance is the world-famous TRB restaurant, if you really want to indulge! This is probably the best kept...
