Small bedroom with very limited storage space and no wardrobes but it's quaint. When we arrived late in day they had left the room door wide open which let in the cold and insects instead of warming it up. It's probably because the internal wall has humidity problems and is in need of redecorating. The sound insulation between rooms and communal areas is not good so best to advise the clients to keep noise down.
The hotel and its individual rooms are set in a courtyard style complex with lots of historic character as it preserves part of the old, low-rise Beijing. It has some nice communal areas and outdoor elevated terraces. There's a bar and free wi-fi too although signal strength is inconsistent. There is a beautiful Hutong area nearby, with many Chinese restaurants. Best WiFi I had in Beijing so far and I live here for 3 months now.
