Beijing Sunrise Youth Hostel Beihai Branch — Hotel in Beijing

I stayed there for three nights and booked myself into the double room which was very affordable. THe hostel is in a good area, if you want a sense of the OLD Beijing and the Xisi metro station is within walking distance as well as ATMs and a small convenience store which came in handy. The reception is well managed with friendly faces and English speaking officers. My room was clean, comfortable but very tiny but since I was staying alone it didn’t really matter. Very secure access card system used to enter both building and your room. They can organise a Great Wall tour which I took and was the ultimate experience inclusive of pickup, free lunch and comfortable air conditioned bus.|Both my check-in and check-out experience was uneventful. Would definitely stay there again. Lastly the meter taxi from airport was about 120 yuan (make sure the meter is on) make sure your directions...

This place is great for meeting people. They have a bar and the staff is very friendly, specially a guy working there. He is helpful. The guy in the bar goes beyond to serve us. The rooms are bit darker but comfortable and showers are huge! The toilets are clean and the cleaners work hard to keep it. The location is not the closest for good eating places but walkable to forbidden city (if you can do it)! I book a tour to Great Wall from this hostel and I felt a bit disappointed (although price was good). We only had 3 hours to explore the wall and in the end the cable car was necessarily to take due to lack of timing. It’s not really a guided tour since the guy who showed us just talk about how to get and where......

Really nice staff, very helpful, and they speak excellent English. Stayed in 10 person room, which wasn’t actually that bad. the facilities themselves were great. You get your own locker, and they can keep your valuables at the front desk too. There’s a large communal bathroom for both genders, very clean. Almost every time I was in the bathroom there was someone cleaning. Not too hard to find, nice front area outside with picnic tables. About a 10 minute walk from subway, and a 20-30 minute walk to beihai park. Very accommodating, 24 hour check in, which was a huge help when my flight...
