The check-in and checkout were incredibly quick and smooth, probably the fastest I've ever experienced in my life, even with that zhushudengji stuff you gotta do in China. I'd like to extend a special thanks to Sophia, the Korean-speaking staff member who made me feel right at home. As someone whose Chinese is pretty much non-existent, having a multilingual staff like her around was a total lifesaver ☺️ In fact, all of the staff members were attentive and kind, truly embodying the image of Conrad that I'd been expecting.|- Location-wise, the hotel is in a prime spot. Hujialou station (Line 6/10) is just a short walk away, so getting around the city was a breeze. And a longer 20-min stroll gets you to Sanlitun, for wandering around shops and bars. My room had a spectacular view of the CBD area, where I could also admire the iconic CCTV tower!|- The room and amenities were spotless, leaving nothing to complain about. The hotel's gym was well-maintained with those fancy Technogym equipments. Also, being able to order room service via WeChat was super convenient! They have photos of each menu item there, which helped me decide on what to eat.|- I really enjoyed my breakfast at the Chapter. Although the variety of options was not extensive, each dish was tasty and well-prepared. I particularly liked that I could order dishes like niuroumian from the menu. Like the breakfast, the executive lounge didn't have a ton of options, but every food served during afternoon tea and cocktail hours were delicious.||All in all, my 3-day stay at the Conrad Beijing was just impressive... Great location, awesome team members, and all those true Conrad vibes really made my stay. Would definitely stay here...
Read moreAbsolutely Unacceptable Service and Attitude at Conrad Beijing!
I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment and shock at the unacceptable service I received at Conrad Beijing. What should have been a seamless check-in process turned into an appalling display of unprofessionalism that led me to promptly cancel my stay and move to a different hotel.
Upon our arrival, we had a minor concern about the room provided. When we politely expressed our discomfort and noted that we might have to consider changing hotels, the front office manager, named Icey, delivered a response that was nothing short of astonishing. With a completely icy and dismissive tone, she essentially told us to go ahead and cancel.
For a manager at a supposed luxury hotel brand to show such a blatant lack of empathy and basic customer service is beyond belief. Her rude and confrontational attitude made it clear that our comfort and satisfaction were of no importance to her or the hotel. This was not a negotiation; it was a demand to leave.
We promptly took her advice, cancelled our stay, and moved to the Hyatt Regency, where the service and overall experience were in stark contrast—welcoming, professional, and everything a five-star hotel should be.
This incident at Conrad Beijing left me thoroughly disappointed and regretful of even setting foot in the lobby. Such an experience is completely unacceptable, and I would urge anyone considering a stay here to be wary of the management's apparent disregard for...
Read moreThe Conrad Beijing is located in a convenient area, making it easy to access major attractions and business districts. The rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished, offering a pleasant environment for relaxation after a day of sightseeing or meetings. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, although the level of service can be inconsistent. There are areas where it falls disappointingly short of the standard expected from a hotel of its caliber.
Unfortunately, the hotel's mediocrity is evident in several areas. The design of the hotel is rather bland and lacks the wow factor one might expect from a luxury establishment. The food offerings, both in terms of quality and variety, are average at best. Additionally, the hotel's amenities, such as the fitness center and spa, are underwhelming and do not offer the level of luxury and comfort one might expect from a hotel of this class.
While some members of the staff are attentive and helpful, there is a noticeable inconsistency in the level of service provided. Some staff members seem disinterested and unresponsive to guests' needs, which can be frustrating and detracts from the overall experience.
The Conrad Beijing offers a mixed bag of comfort and mediocrity. While it has its strengths, such as its convenient location and spacious rooms, it falls disappointingly short in terms of design, food quality, amenities, and service consistency. For those seeking a truly luxurious and memorable experience, the Conrad Beijing may not be the...
